His point is not about whether the IOC follows or doesn't the US Constitution, but that US citizens would stop feeling the need to protest what is going on in our country in whatever places they can if our country did much better.

My point is she has had her (3rd place) 15 minutes - and now no further nonsense will be accepted

I agree with the commentators who said we should shine the light on the event winner - who I believe had a US record throw.

The unpatriotic chick to me is already forgotten - couldnt even tell you her name.

(a) That wasn't your point.
(b) It wasn't nonsense, though a ton of nonsense has been written about it, including by you.
(c) Obviously, you've forgotten her. Of course you have. Here you are, posting about her, yet again.

And you don't know the winner's name, either.

Detroit is getting eight hundred million dollars from the American Jobs Act, and Council-woman Raquel Lopez wants everyone to slow down, and she wants for everyone to really think about where they want to spend the money, she sees this as a game-changer in Detroit, she believes that the American Jobs Act will really help Detroit.

Rocky is a smart woman, and Detroit is lucky to have her.

KTLA 5 News

26 minutes  ·

A severe drought has meant less-polluted beaches during the summer — particularly in Southern California, where Orange County had 10 of the state’s cleanest beaches.

------

Orange County saves some of the water instead of letting all of the water flow to the ocean. Orange County saves some of the water, and some of the water is pumped underground into the aquifer, Orange County cleans some of the water and pumps it underground.

We need to do a better job in California of saving our water instead of letting it all flow into the ocean. And we can reduce the waste that is flowing into the ocean.

Salute,

Tony V.

It's a movement!

One bright spot of the corona crisis might be that more people have learned how to work from home. That would mean less people on the freeways, less pollution in the air, and it is also good for the kids to have their parents home.

If you can run a company from an office in New York City, then you can do it from your home office with modern equipment.

Home offices are a plus for society.

Salute,

Tony V.

Exactly.
If of course the employees can be trusted to actually work when supposed to be working at home.
Some employees in my world have been known to be slackening off when at home, not being as productive as when in the city office etc building.
Most though have been doing the right thing and working properly.
Most of bambuland is now in lockdown again...for from 3 days to 2 weeks...so working from home is back on.

With conference calls etc...running a company with employees working from home sure is possible.
Businesses supported by all the office workers no longer in the buildings are floundering, many gone broke...no passing traffic, no income.

Simple really...in home...home phone for private use, office phone for office use, boss' contact phone for contact by boss during working hours.
"Hello, ...boss here, are you there"?
"Yes, boss...just taking a romantic interlude break"...as some workers have been doing while at home. lol
