The wonderful old people in our community who have been helping the homeless, and who have been diligently running our city, etc, are getting old and are dying and are moving to retirement homes, etc, and we need for the good young people to rise up and to do the things that the old people have been doing.
My friend Lisa ran group homes and she helped the homeless and she cooked for people, at last count before she died she had 100 homeless people living in her houses that she owned, and she cooked for them, etc. And that allowed the homeless people to work doing charity work, etc. Many of the homeless people were homeless Veterans, and one of my friends was a Combat Medic who served in the Middle East, he helped to run houses for Lisa, and he also put together a team to sell hot dogs and beer and stuff at Angel Stadium, and they raised over one million dollars to feed the hungry by working at Angel Stadium. So Lisa was helping the homeless, and that freed up the homeless people to do charity work to help other people. Lisa and Tom are both dead now, and we need for young people to rise up and to do the work that Lisa and Tom were doing.
And my friend Shirley who is in a retirement home now, she helped to run the City of Anaheim, she was Mayor on 9/11, and she helped to build up a rich and safe city, and we need for good new honest young people to go to work for our City and to serve the people like Shirley did.
We need for people to own and operate housing for the homeless, and then we need for people to organize the homeless and to put the homeless to work at Angel Stadium, etc, and we also need to have good honest people working in our local City government here in Anaheim.
We have a Wellness Center in Orange, and we have a Mental Health Association in Santa Ana, and we have some new stuff on the way, and we need for bright young people to decide to lead lives of service.
We also have Kiwanis.
Salute,
Tony V.
