A trip down FBI memory lane of shame.
First stop Director James Comey explaining the Hillary emails and her private server 6 years ago

Although we did not find clear evidence that Secretary Clinton or her colleagues intended to violate laws governing the handling of classified information, there is evidence that they were extremely careless in their handling of very sensitive, highly classified information.

For example, seven email chains concern matters that were classified at the Top Secret/Special Access Program level when they were sent and received. These chains involved Secretary Clinton both sending e-mails about those matters and receiving emails from others about the same matters. There is evidence to support a conclusion that any reasonable person in Secretary Clinton s position, or in the position of those government employees with whom she was corresponding about these matters, should have known that an unclassified system was no place for that conversation. In addition to this highly sensitive information, we also found information that was properly classified as Secret by the U.S. Intelligence Community at the time it was discussed on e mail (that is, excluding the later up-classified emails).

None of these emails should have been on any kind of unclassified system, but their presence is especially concerning because all of these emails were housed on unclassified personal servers not even supported by full time security staff, like those found at Departments and Agencies of the U.S. Governmentor even with a commercial service like Gmail.

Hillary was not punished and set free to run for President.

Ward and Kid seem to quietly approve of the terrorism done on trumps behalf in Ohio yesterday.

They have gone from back the blue to fuck the blue quite completely to remain in step with the republican party.

That only counts when it comes to killing or prosecuting black people.

After the report about nuclear information came out, Trump claimed that Obama "kept 33 million pages of documents, much of them classified" upon leaving office. Ha noted that many of them had to do with nuclear weapons.

National Archives responded:
Quote
"The National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) assumed exclusive legal and physical custody of Obama Presidential records when President Barack Obama left office in 2017, in accordance with the Presidential Records Act (PRA)," NARA said in a statement.

"NARA moved approximately 30 million pages of unclassified records to a NARA facility in the Chicago area where they are maintained exclusively by NARA. Additionally, NARA maintains the classified Obama Presidential records in a NARA facility in the Washington, DC, area. As required by the PRA, former President Obama has no control over where and how NARA stores the Presidential records of his Administration," the statement from National Archives said.

Figures Trump would try throwing shit when called out.

Trump has not tried to block the release of the search warrant and receipt.

His people have requested (demanded?) that they get a more detailed listing of what was taken.

Barack Hussein Obama!

Great post, thanks, Josh.  Links, historical background on declassification, Patel, etc.

This search may not be the small potatoes one that some columnists were wringing their hands over.

A million dollars wasted trying to find non-existent fraud by a staunch pro-Trump, pro-decertification judge.

Wisconsin should sue to get their money back.

https://www.cnn.com/2022/08/12/politics/bowser-pentagon-migrants-assistance/index.html

The mayor of DC has renewed her request for help with the migrants being bused in from the south (without a plan or permission to the governors in question).

The busing is, itself, inhumane.

Flooding a city's social services without support all the more so.

Will this horseshit even make it to the floor?

"effort to unseal the search warrant for the home of former President Donald J. Trump constitutes an attempt to intimidate, harass, and potentially disqualify a political challenger to President Joseph R. Biden, Jr."

Given that Trump did not bother to oppose it, that seems like a hard charge to convince anybody of other than true believers.

Our resident floor sweeper, who couldn't stop talking about Clinton's emails, cannot bring himself to seriously address Trump's actions and denials.

Nor can he talk about the violence either enacted or threatened against the FBI and the Florida magistrate.

And he remains silent about the suffering in this country and abroad because of climate change.

But he can make sport about the 1,200 dead per month from COVID. I look forward to his deep belly laughs about polio. A riot, I tell you.

"Elise Stefanik today desperately pleaded with the American people "not to jump to conclusions" over classified materials at Mar-a-Lago AFTER she spent this week jumping to conclusions that law enforcement should be attacked for defending our national security."

A CNN analyst says the intel Trump stole are so sensitive that FBI agents will begin FINGER PRINTING each document to find out who actually touched them. (I don't know that that this is true, but given what it seems to have been, I would not be shocked.)

But the truth of this is so obscured from the conservative Fox-adherent, Trump-adoring portion of the public that the actions in Ohio will be applauded and likely emulated. And screed like this will be fed to those open mouths and closed minds:

The Payback for Mar-a-Lago Will Be Brutal
By Kimberley A. Strassel | Potomac Watch

The GOP is plotting their revenge for when they control the FBI and the reins of power, failing to understand that it was doing that already that led us here - and their proposed actions are totally out of proportion to what has gone on. Wrong-headed and seeking retribution for a needful peace of police work.
