Almost feel bad for Kevin McCarthy for he is gonna get the shit kicked out of him from the right

Can not feel bad for a guy playing up to his Master saying quote WE FIRED NANCY.

Impossible to fire someone you did not hire.  Duh!

I guess that means he has been unemployed since he is not speaker, huh?

Trump has promised a new "platform of national greatness and glory" centred on;

1. . ending America's reliance on China,
2  . introducing the death penalty for drug dealers,
3  . bolstering border security,
4  . eliminating homelessness and
5  . planting the US flag on Mars.

carry as much weight as a fart here does there.

Ah yes, My Country...

My Country

The love of field and coppice,
Of green and shaded lanes.
Of ordered woods and gardens
Is running in your veins,
Strong love of grey-blue distance
Brown streams and soft dim skies
I know but cannot share it,
My love is otherwise.

I love a sunburnt country,
A land of sweeping plains,
Of ragged mountain ranges,
Of droughts and flooding rains.
I love her far horizons,
I love her jewel-sea,
Her beauty and her terror -
The wide brown land for me!

A stark white ring-barked forest
All tragic to the moon,
The sapphire-misted mountains,
The hot gold hush of noon.
Green tangle of the brushes,
Where lithe lianas coil,
And orchids deck the tree-tops
And ferns the warm dark soil.

Core of my heart, my country!
Her pitiless blue sky,
When sick at heart, around us,
We see the cattle die -
But then the grey clouds gather,
And we can bless again
The drumming of an army,
The steady, soaking rain.

Core of my heart, my country!
Land of the Rainbow Gold,
For flood and fire and famine,
She pays us back threefold -
Over the thirsty paddocks,
Watch, after many days,
The filmy veil of greenness
That thickens as we gaze.

An opal-hearted country,
A wilful, lavish land -
All you who have not loved her,
You will not understand -
Though earth holds many splendours,
Wherever I may die,
I know to what brown country
My homing thoughts will fly.

Dorothea Mackellar

Dorothea Mackellar was born in Sydney in 1885 into a well-established, wealthy family, and was educated privately at the University of Sydney. At 19 years old she wrote a poem, 'My Country', the second verse of which is perhaps the best known stanza in Australian poetry. Her family owned substantial properties in the Gunnedah district of New South Wales and it is in this town which claims her as their own, there a statue of her on horseback has been erected.

Dorothea died in 1968

I know all I need to know about my own country and am gradually learning about yours.
My future, what's left of it, depends on Washington.
If Americans get away with that "death chambers for drug dealers", guess what...next thing it will be in my world..."that's what they're doing in America"....and my peaceful, quiet retirement wiil be in turmoil.
Death chambers for drug dealers is a crazy idea.

GOP getting one of the slimmest majorities in history, in a midterm, and then possibly losing another Senate seat, and also flipping three governor seats is not the great mandate they were hoping for.  I do not think lame duck means what Ward think it means.
Yes it does.
Even if Biden adopts a Bill Clinton attitude his leftist agenda is dead.

No. It doesn
Hey, be fair! Remember how RedDickJimmEspn posted Trump was a lame duck after 2018, when the Repos got a terrible beating in the House but retained the Senate?

Come to think of it, neither do I. But then the only elections that matter to RDJE are the ones his side wins.
The House fell to the GOP.  Biden leftist agenda is dead.  The dem leadership in the House is retiring.
Even more notable is that the GOP has now picked up at least 23 House seats in the last two election cycles (Biden has no coattails) and this year won the generic House vote by over 4 million votes.
Yes, I am aware that the only elections you claim are important are the ones your side wins.
Which one are you referring to ?
I was referring to a. The ones Repos won, which you cite constantly and 2. The worst Repos lost which you more constantly ignore.

Like how you used to quote poll numbers on the ACA as argument against the statute, only to completely ignore the poll numbers when it became popular. And like how I expect you to never mention the fact that the Dem candidate you always cited as an example of Dem candidates fleeing Biden is the only one to lose to a non-incumbant Trump candidate 8n a battleground state. Because you are a Comically Transparent Partisan Hack.

Once a jolly swagman sat beside a billabong
Growing bored, he dipped his willy in his tea
And he sang as he sat and waited while his willy boiled,
"Crotch rot you'll never more trouble me!"

Washing my dilda, washing my dilda...

And now back to my regularly scheduled post...

Nice fiction.
Four milestones were reached in this election.
The GOP won the House
Joe Biden is a lame duck
NancyPelosi moved to the House  back bench
And Donald Trump is a badly damaged candidate for President in 2024.

There were other nuances such as GOP winners who stood up to the unprincipled positions of pro choice opponents( Rubio over Demmings led the way)
And the GOP got  52 per cent of the generic vote.

Anyone remember RedDickJimmEspn posting those kinds of comments after 2018 or 2020, where Repos lost? Of.coirse not because he is a Comically Transparent Partisan Hack.

And Pelosi had promised to only serve two more terms as Dem leader in the House when she took the position after the unnoticed by RedDickJimmEspn historically severe congressional beatdown Repos took in 2018.

LOL!
You gladly forget GOP picked up over a dozen House Seats in 2020 when coattailless Biden rode the antitrump vote to the White House.
But, as always, your only argument is to pound the table and call names.

Retained the House, won the Senate and the Presidency. All of which you pointedly ignore. Along with the historic ass pounding your party took congressionally in 2018.

Ward likes to offer multiple iotas of shit. One iota I found problematic:

There were other nuances such as GOP winners who stood up to the unprincipled positions of pro choice opponents

Just because someone's principles aren't yours, doesn't make them UNprincipled.  While you accuse anyone disagreeing with you of "pounding the table" or "stomping your foot," you never take your own foot off the partisan rhetoric pedal.
