In the wake of a federal indictment accusing former President Donald Trump of attempting to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election, Americans 54 to 42 percent think Trump should be prosecuted on criminal charges, according to a Quinnipiac University national poll released today.... 

That includes a large number of Independents, so no, it is not just Team Democrat.  The number who see the charges as serious is even larger, nearly two thirds of polled.  As for the imputation that this is a purely partisan attack of some kind, I think Lime and others have answered that several times now.  Try to pay attention.

The Repos have invested a great deal of effort in trying to claim that the DoJ and FBI and others are being weaponized to go after Trump, without any actual evidence that is what is behind the prosecutions. And so far they have convinced themselves. People like bambu and RedDick and the people who give them their opinions have never.dealt with the actual accusations of the Smith 1/6 indictment and identified the allegations they think the prosecutors should ignore, and why, or specifically those.things alleged of Trump they think Biden should get a pass on if he tries the same thing if he loses in 2024. It never occurs to bambu that the reason for the unprecedented prosecution of Trump is because.of his unprecedented criminality. SkyNet will not tell him that, he being irredeemably stupid cannot.think of it on his own.
