I will gladly let trump flee to Russia in exile if we nail this guy, his money and his network instead,

http://www.politico.com/news/2023/08/22/d-c-attorney-general-is-probing-leonard-leos-network-00112331

ROFL heard in the Can residence at this...

Leo cited his commitment to (defend the Constitution) and spoke about the (long history) of dark money in U.S. politics.

It s not to hide in the shadows, he said. It s because we want ideas judged by their own moral and intellectual force.

An alternate POV on Biden stepping aside...

Should also set a retirement age for the Senate.

One thing Biden has over his low favorable ratings is most of the electorate TRUST him.

If Trump is the nominee Biden/Harris will smoke Republicans up and down the ballot.

If Biden retires he as president he would mostly be remembered for his gaffes and creating an immigration disaster. Next four should be worse. Homeless increasing by %10 a year. That's %40.

It would just be one more thing you misremember, Section 8.

Republicans surrender to authorities is my favorite running headline from this week.

Let us hope the GOP debaters talk about the issue that most voters (especially republican and independents)care about.
The Economy

Due to the high inflation, the typical household spent $202 more in a July than they did a year ago to buy the same goods and services. And they spent $709 more than they did 2 years ago.

Mark Zandi,
Chief Economist, Moodys

Biden can talk about soft landings but his words are hollow when the inflation rate keeps going up.

And at higher altitudes soft landings are a lot harder to pull off.

You are high as fuck right now and you never land anywhere but flat on your ass. I can see why you think you are some kind of expert.

Republicans should spend the debate apologizing for all the morgue trucks. Voters have not started forgiving them for that.

Republican disarray deepens. Dumb dialogue dooms dipsht deplorables. Dogma does not dazzle.

There is now a big opening for the socialists and greens to take over as the opposition party to the center right now held by the Democrats.

Trump, tuckums, and twittler just produced and aired a direct terrorist death threat to a sitting district attorney.

They should all be ended.

Pluck out their eyes and rip out their tongues.

Did DeSantis help himself by visibly yielding to peer pressure on stage and on tape?

Didn't watch but read a summary.  Sounds like Nikki was the functioning adult in the room, which means she has no chance.  I liked Christies take on Vivek

Ive had enough of a guy who sounds like chatGPT.

Sounds like DeSantis is competing with Pence to be the most wooden and dull.  Let the flies land.

I have a feeling Viveks isolationist view will be popular with younger conservatives.

The energy at the GOP debate probably drove Biden to his basement.
He will be retired by the onset of Advent.

LOL. It was like watching a regional theater production of Annie. Energetic? Well maybe, but an inconsequential display of middling talent for all that.
