it would have been better to get them right the 1st time.

"Blues center Ivan Barbashev has been suspended one game for an illegal check to the head, the NHL department of player safety announced Friday.

No penalty was called on the play.

“Barbashev delivers a high, forceful hit that makes Johansson’s head the main point of contact on a hit where such head contact was avoidable,” the league said in a video. “It is important to note that the head is the main point of contact on this play.”

I cannot imagine how exciting it must be for them, though I would guess it is similar to, but slightly stronger than, how we Red Sox fans felt after exorcising the Curse or how the Patsies fans felt upon winning that first Super Bowl in their history.

It has been a convincing effort by the Blues and they have earned this Cup.

I don't know how you conclude that they choked, given the rest of the series and the rest of the Cup matches, but honestly, Ham, I don't really care, because reasoning has nothing to do with it beyond that it was a Boston team. Had they won, you would have been back with "that was how the NHL wanted it" the way you did a couple games ago. Now that that has been disproven, you fall back on "choked."

Had they won, the person who would have choked would have been you, on all the bile you have inside.

Had we been a minute behind your post, you would have talked about our lack of being good losers and then when we posted identical things to what we posted, you would have claimed credit for making us say crap we didn't believe.

The Blues, up 2-0, then played in a defensive shell for the next 40 minutes, protecting the lead, and frustrating the Bruins.

They won.
