https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2019/03/mlb-announces-agreement-to-experiment-on-rule-changes-in-independent-atlantic-league.html

Fuller set of rule changes to be tested in the Atlantic League.

It includes minimum three batters or end of inning for relief pitchers, except for injury.

And bigger bases!

I am largely not a fan.

Baseball balls have now been phased out, even in the intercontinental league, the last and most traditional of the three leagues.  All pitches are virtual and stats are kept on velocity, exit angle, brexit angle, and Adam Engel.

Bases are no longer necessary as running has been deemed an "injury-risk" that Amazon insurance refuses to cover.  All baserunning will be done via computer based on 40 yard sprint speeds held at the Baseball Combines every year.  Speeds will accrue 1.5 degrees of age-related air-resistance per season the batter has in the major leagues.   A season is defined as 40 games out of the possible 162 games.

Baseball will always be 162 games.  They will just be 45 minutes long.

Clever.

Makes me sad how much truth there is to it.

Well, I will always have Strat-o-Matic.

The rule to reduce expanding roster to 40 players down to 28 is a good one. As is the rule to make a firm July 31 deadline for all trades.

Welcome to 2019.

This proviso was actually written into the treaty governing the surrender of Imperial Japanese forces after the second great war.

A long time come due.

Meanwhile, we are channeling the Columbus Clippers for our infield for the first couple weeks.
