In bambuworld real estate prices are still increasing so much that home ownership is becoming almost impossible for many young people.
Rents also, so much so that young people who left their family homes to experience life in the big, bad world for themselves have now gone back to live with their parents.
The world is big and bad, it's crystal clear.
Anyone who survives it deserves a medal.
Anyone who finds happiness in it is truly blessed.
In Anaheim the average home costs $1 Million, and the home where I lived in Malibu is now worth $4 Million. The rent for a cheap 1 bedroom apartment in Anaheim is $2,000 per month.
You need a good job, or you need to own a good business to live in California. We have 175,000 homeless people in California.
Of note, we need cheap hostels with a bed and a shower for $15 per night, and cheap sober living homes for $450 per month. Rome is the same price as Los Angeles and Rome does not have homeless people because Rome has cheap hostels that the poor can afford, and also they help the poor in Italy.
And for me part of chasing happiness is to be grateful, I am grateful for an apartment here in Anaheim, and I am grateful to have food to eat, etc. When I get depressed then I focus on my blessings. Certainly I would be happier with a good wife, and a successful career in Show Business, and to own a home in Malibu, etc, and to have a family with enough money to send my children to college, etc, but meanwhile I am grateful for food and shelter and I am grateful for good health, etc.
Also, I work to help other people, and in doing so it takes my mind off of my own worries, even just sending ideas to City Hall about how best to help the homeless people, etc, is healthy.
Meanwhile, Battle Mountain, Nevada, has land for $1,000 per acre, and you can rent a room over the tavern for $100 per month, if you can get a job as a cook at a casino in Nevada then you can at least afford to live in a cheap travel trailer in an RV Park, and land is cheap and affordable, etc.
Of note, Disney is investing $2 Billion here in Anaheim right now, and Newsom is giving tax breaks of $750 Million to filmmakers to shoot films and television shows here. I hope it gets better, and I want to be a part of Hollywood Show Business if I can. We will see what happens.
I also like Cocoa Beach, Florida, and they have Show Business jobs there with Universal in Orlando, and you can buy a house on the beach in Cocoa Beach for $240,000 right now. Or even a condo at the Windjammer in Cape Canaveral where I lived as a kid for 1 year when we were there with the Space Shuttle Program. Florida is great.
A lot of people here in California have roommates to share costs, and the low paid immigrants all share housing, etc. I have neighbors with 6 people in a one bedroom apartment, etc.
And the people from the Philippines all work together as a team and they help each other here.
The raise for Fast Food Workers will help them as they work to pay rent, etc.
Yes, I wish the best for people who find happiness in this world.
And the love of Jesus helps.
Salute,
Tony V.
