Pence/Huckabee

But 2024.

But there may be better top of ticket options.

Like any Democrat, from Jimmy Carter to AOC.

Even Uncle Joe or Bernie or Tulsi.

A Dem for top of the Republican ticket?

They're better choices than any of the GOP members would be.

If the Estabilishment Clause is eliminated or substantially weakened, you can kiss this country goodbye.

I don't think we're all that close to Gilead here.  The writer's rhetoric seems a bit overheated to me.  Gallup's been tracking those who identify as born again or evangelical, and it's around 40 % - and bear in mind that includes fairly moderate Christians (Jimmy Carter identifies as such, and certainly is no theocrat).

No shit.  Anyone who follows SCOTUS arguments knows the Justices are not about to take down a cross honoring those(of all religions) who gave their lives for our country.
I’m not surprised that Josh would cite such a venomous and inaccurate diatribe.
But the bigger question is why should any religious symbol in a pluralistic society such as ours be denied admission to the public square?

Achtung, baby...

You may not notice but the GOP is in the grip of two personality cults, Trump and Right Wing Evangelicals.

RWE is the American Taliban and they’re being used by the GOP donor class to fulfill their game plan.

Fourth Reich.

Pat Buchanan thinks he’s gonna die a happy man.

The problem, as ever, is not what the public thinks, overall, but what the GOP thinks and especially what the GOP members of Congress and SCOTUS think.

But given the percentage of the GOP rank and file who think that Christianity ought to be the national religion is at or about 50%, despite the Constitution, I am not soothed by your reasoning.

And the fact that Ward agrees with you should give you pause.

Yep. Don’t think it can’t happen here because it’s happening world wide.

Nadler says Mueller report is “substantial” but conceded it’s less than a thousand pages.

FOX says 700 pages.

Barr - four page summary. “it’s all good!”

Ya, makes sense.
