From the Heritage Foundation, a conservative institution, discussing the problem with nationalism. It's a thought-provoking piece.

Nationalism is great.
Should be more of it.
In America, American culture should  be king...whatever America chooses it to be.
Closed borders, no massive immigration, etc.
America first, second, and third.
Americans first in America, not 5th or last. Progressives and globalists should not be ruling the world.
Singapore is allowed to do what it likes...hang drug smugglers, strip human beings naked, tie them to A frames, and shred their buttocks flesh with canes wielded by musclemen with lighning speed and massive force.
Indonesia is allowed to do what it likes, execution-slaughter drug smugglers in its killing fields.
"Our sovereign nation" they cry.

That article links immigration with American exceptionalism and nationalism.
And on that point, I'd agree.  What makes America special is that anybody can be an American.  That America is composed of people from all over the world, so America has more claim to be global and universal than other cultures.  That plus democracy and freedom make America a special country.  However it's also very different than the experience in almost every other country.  And immigration in the US has always provoked backlashes from white supremacist types in the US.

My election ballot from NJ came with a page of instructions in English, another in Spanish, and a 3rd in an Indian writing system which I've been calling Hindi but that might be an incorrect designation.

Nationalism meaning national pride (in your language, culture, food, land, etc) can be positive.  Nationalism in the form of chauvinistic we are better than others, other culture/people are lesser can be a very dangerous thing.  Certainly was behind the murderous conquest of colonialism and America's many wars.  We're superior, we know best, we'll uplift these poor blighters (as we steal their land/wealth/dignity).

I would be surprised if it were not Gujarati. While it's not even in the top 5 languages in number of speakers in India, there is a strong presence in the NYC metro area, especially in NJ.

Actually off by at least a factor of 5 and possibly an order of magnitude.

Trump got Regeneron as an experimental drug. He got a wing of the hospital. Lots more.

So would any President
Whats your point, if you even had one.?

This douche in the Oval Office needs to be in prison.

America needs a real President. Republicans never have a real one to offer. Thanks to trump the country has learned.

You're probably right.
Just checked and Gujarat is a variant of the main Hindi/Devanagari script,
but without the horizontal bar on top.  So this does indeed appear to be Gujarati.
They write the name of the language used in that language, which is fine for Espanol,
but totally locked me out of this Indic writing system.

I moved away before Indians moved into my hometown.
Now there are 25K Indians making up 25% of the population.
One of the largest Indian communities in North America (certainly of the suburban variety).
Another 20-25% is Asian (Chinese, Korean, Vietnamese).

When I was there the next town over had a growing Indian section.
But I left before I found out where they were from in India or their culture/language.
Only had limited food-related contact for a couple years.
I did appreciate the good vegetarian food when I was there.

Inside the Fall of the CDC
https://www.propublica.org/article/inside-the-fall-of-the-cdc

Good longish read.
They never make it clear why the CDC didn't just adopt the German/WHO test after the CDC test was compromised.  And if that was a CDC or Trump Admin decision.

They also don't discuss why the CDC remained the only testing lab in the country for a couple months until the Trump Admin finally let private labs do testing as well.
Again, blame apportionment to CDC or Trump Admin is not discussed.
