Trump lies about "turning the corner" ....

Isnt COVID-19 much more easily treated now?

Arent we much closer to a number of effective vaccines?

What do you think turn the corner means?  Making it disappear?

As we did with polio, right?  Oh, wait.........

Your understanding of history is willfully ignorant.

We shut down all the places it seemed folks were likely to transmit polio, once we realized it was contangious.

The first polio epidemic in the US was in 1894. It was more than a decade before we learned it was contagious (because we were almost as ignorant then as you are now).

The next epidemic was in 1916. FDR got it in 1921.

The Iron Lung was invented in 1929 to help survivors of it.

57,628 polio cases were reported in the United States in 1952, more than 21,000 of them paralytic cases. This epidemic heightened parents’ fears of the disease and focused public awareness on the need for a vaccine.

When they did the trial of the Salk vaccine, they had more than a million kids testing it, in 1954-55, when they announced its success.

Then... Just a few weeks after the landmark press conference announcing success of the vaccine trials, an Idaho doctor reported a case of paralytic polio in a recently vaccinated girl. Over the next few weeks, similar reports trickled in to local health authorities. All involved a disturbing detail: paralysis began in the vaccinated arm, rather than in the legs as was more common.

It soon emerged that most of the cases of paralytic polio occurred in children inoculated with vaccine produced by Cutter Laboratories in California.

So, if you want to follow that path, Kid, much joy to you.

But while it was nowhere near as contagious as COVID-19 is, it struck kids more and it caused lifelong misery for a lot of folks who did not die.

The historic vote to confirm Barrett was not broadcast live by either CNN or MSNBC.

So much for the news losers who, combined, can’t compete with Fox News

Therapeutics - including HCQ - effectively treating those who get the virus.

And a vaccine very close

I'd say we are at least AT the corner.

With all due respect, how do you know anything related to the timing of an effective vaccine?

Thats a rhetorical question, and the answer is you don't know anything.

Did you look at the pictures of the rising trend line of daily cases that have almost tripled since the first peak in April?

There is nothing in that graph that indicates a flattening or decline in cases.

So stop your lies and steady campaign of misinformation.

No one here believes you or your bullshit.

Yes, of course you would.

Record new cases. Highest deaths in 40 days with strong likelihood of sharp climb ahead.

You have it wrong, Kid. It's "at the coroner."

And no response on the masks, which surprises me at a level of zero.

Why do you put forth that I say there is?

Because only a village idiot would describe an 8-month rising-plateauing-rising curve and currently rising and at record levels, as "either rounding the corner" or "at the corner".

NM I see your problem.

You know mask-wearers get COVID, right?

I wonder how.

How do you wonder after all this time?

Mask wearers get it because not everyone is a mask wearer.

If we all wore masks for a month the virus would be practically gone.

Stopp.....

Yes, stop. Science hurts Loathsome Kid's small brain.

Hoover sucked.   He was a vacuum that needed to be filled.

How long have you waited to dust that one off?

They will, however, be broadcasting the demise of the GOP as it goes the way of the Whigs.
