And it just gets better

Texas Asks SCOTUS to Declare Election
in 4 Battleground States Unconstitutional

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton filed suit on Tuesday against Georgia, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin, claiming the four states exploited the pandemic to justify ignoring election laws.

In papers filed with the U.S. Supreme Court, Paxton claimed the states unlawfully enacted last-minute changes, which skewed the results of the general election.

The papers also allege that the majority of the rushed decisions, made by local officials, were not approved by the state legislatures, thereby circumventing the Constitution.

And? Nothing affected the outcome, since all voters were subject to the same condition. And the Texas AG will be reminded that the time to raise any objections - if indeed he would ever have standing which i doubt - would be BEFORE the vote.

President Trump called the speaker of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives twice during the past week to make an extraordinary request for help reversing his loss in the state, reflecting a broadening pressure campaign by the president and his allies to try to subvert the 2020 election result.

DISCUSS.
At what point can we describe what Trump is trying as an attempted coup d'etat? Recounts are one thing, factually baseless law suits another, but the attempt to simply legislate around the vote should be shocking and repellant to everyone.

This is incorrect

Oddly enough, the judges disagree with you, Kid.

Repeatedly.

This is also incorrect

The judges are stating that the evidence doesnt turn the state to Trump, not that fraud did not happen.

This was always about getting it to the federal courts.
You are a sucker and a rube. The judges are finding no evidence of fraud, and in fact the coup leader's lawyers have stopped even pretending there is any fraud.

It has never been about getting in Federal Court. Cases have been filed there since day one. It is now a coup with the would be usurper trying to overturn the clear will of the people. Through judicial and extra judicial means.

I don't even understand the TX argument -- when have local voting procedures ever favored Democrats?   There's a Kilimanjaro of evidence of Dem voter suppression.  And the GOP defense has always been,  hey,  if you really care about voting you'll jump all the hurdles.   Grease up the walker,  granny.   Pay your court fees,  Pedro.   Get in the ten block line,  LaVondra.

Yeah,  this is pure psych warfare.   Cloaking it in faux legalisms is nauseating to wathc.

If China kills off the Murdoch empire, the world will be a better place. Australia has been a colony before. Surely it can manage being someone’s colony again for a few centuries. It’s a small price to pay to be rid of Rupy’s toxic tentacles.

I was just catching up and came across this from yesterday-don't know if it was posted here or not.

but its too fucking funny

https://www.nytimes.com/2020/12/07/us/politics/border-wall-mexico.html

WASHINGTON — Two whistle-blowers have accused contractors building President Trump’s border wall of smuggling armed Mexican security teams into the United States to guard construction sites, even building an illegal dirt road to speed the operation, according to court documents unsealed by a federal judge on Friday.

S.L.S., a primary builder of Mr. Trump’s wall, has been awarded contracts worth more than $1.4 billion for work on multiple parts of the border. With those funds, the company is said to have allowed its subcontractor, Ultimate Concrete, to hire armed Mexicans and facilitate illegal border crossings that the president has worked to shut down.

Building a wall to keep out scary armed Mexicans but paying scary armed Mexicans to do so.

It’s an honor to sicken and in some cases die from your proximity to trump. It’s an honor he is working to extend to as many Americans as possible in his short time left.

Quite so.   Am sorta surprised the AG from a large diverse state would go this far off the rails.   I can see some state senator from Buggery County being that dumb,  but the AG?
