Gallup: After 12-Year Run, Obama Falls to Trump as Most Admired Man

Americans are most likely to name President Donald Trump as their most admired man as 2020 comes to a close, edging out his predecessor Barack Obama in the annual Gallup survey released Tuesday.

Trump’s top-place finish ends a 12-year run as most admired man for Obama, tied with Dwight Eisenhower for the most ever.

I love censorship.
'No' censorship in Germany sees topless women shown on the fronts of newspapers.
Families deserve respect, that is not respect.

Outrageous!  Do you have any JPEGs handy of these front pages so that I may share your outrage more fully?

For those unfamiliar with the "dead woman live man" reference in Lime's post,  it's to the 1980s race of Louisiana congressman (and convicted felon) Edwin Edwards.   He famously said:

"The only way I can lose this election is if I'm caught in bed with either a dead girl or a live boy."

My favorite Edwards quote is him speaking about his opponent David Duke:

"The only thing we have in common is we’re both wizards under the sheets."

"German girl" on YouTube spoke about it...among other things re the differences between US and Germany.

I should be able to buy the daily newspaper, bring it home and put it on the family kitchen bench in front of children, family, mother in law etc without any drama.

(A) I have told you before, you need to stop using YouTube as a basis for judging anything but YouTube.

(B) And you can, yes? Do you have daily newspapers in Australia doing that? No? Then what the fuck is your problem?! YOU are not the arbiter of how other countries are run!

(C) Ever occur to you that perhaps the uptight morals about what is acceptable are the problem and not partial nudity? No hang-ups, no drama.

Hang-ups lead to drama, not nudity.

There used to be such photos of women on page 3 of Sunday paper.
We the "hang up" people had them censored and abolished..."pornography".
I love censorship.

So, it's okay if I delete your posts that I find objectionable?

You would be guided by the forum rules of censorship?

No, I would be imposing new ones. You love censorship, after all. And I find some of your posts offensive.

Bambi,  Josh is trying to make a point about censorship on any personal basis.   That approach,  in reality, would just draw attention to someone's capacity to handle offense rather than the more objective criteria of no evidence or flawed logic or slanders.

LARRY is quiet lately.

“Dr. Fauci lied about masks in March,” Rubio tweeted. “Dr. Fauci has been distorting the level of vaccination needed for herd immunity. It isn’t just him. Many in elite bubbles believe the American public doesn’t know ‘what’s good for them’ so they need to be tricked into ‘doing the right thing.’”

Not sure who else Rubio is referring to, but I agree with him on Fauci.

Biden should talk to some GOP senators and agree to sideline Fauci if they help him with whatever.  Sell out mediocre-at-best, Trump-tainted, 80 year old Fauci in exchange for some bipartisan cooperation.

Hey Bambu, I bought some muesli from Australia called Crunchola.
Freedom is written fairly large on the front of the box.  Freedom Foods brand.  Kind of ironic (or subversive) Australia is selling "Freedom Foods" to China.

Actually it's too sweet for me, a bit too crunchy, and the bag containing the muesli is deceptively a size or two smaller than the box it's in.  I'm not sure I ever came across any of those issues before.  I ended up putting half the bowl of cereal out for the birds, though the little radiologists prefer seeds and don't go much for oats.  The sparrows might give oats a try.  The bulbuls eat oats, but they aren't brave enough to come close enough to the house -- the bird seed and muesli is on top of the air conditioner compressor near my window.

Maybe that's what got China upset.
Freedom emblazoned on imported breakfast cereal, and to add insult to injury the portions are deceptively small.

It's like you haven't been paying attention for the last 28 years.

"Bipartisan cooperation" is what the GOP demands when there is a Dem in the White House, but what it means is "make concessions to us, while we make none to you."

You haven't been paying attention.  I think Fauci was a failure, so it's a fake concession.

The Big Show is GA January 5.
Not sure why the Dems don't run a full-court press on Trump's anti-democracy maneuvers which the two GOP candidates support.

Win both seats and it's an all-Dem gov't.  And Biden could get a lot done.    And I expect he'd move fast, because he witnessed how quickly Obama lost his control.  Biden should have the senate for 2 years (if they win GA x 2), but who knows what might go on.

Two fake fake negotiations don't add up to a hill of beans.

There is nothing for Biden to gain by doing this - at best it is neutral, at worst it paints him as being in a weak position from the GOP's perspective.

Ditch him if Biden wants him ditched.

Keep him out of political decision-making if Biden wants to keep him. He should never have been in that position.

Couldn't possibly be that the shit police won't tell the press or public.
