I expect we will know Warnock-Loeffler tonight, but not Ossoff-Perdue.

Ossoff's a bit behind Warnock in numbers.

Warlock running a bit ahead of Ossoff.

Loeffler was a poor candidate and got a bit wacky, embracing Trump so much and spreading his message of fear (Socialism!  Radical!)

Perdue is a stuffed shirt, but at least presents himself as old boy country club guy.
Perdue didn't do himself any favors by ducking Ossoff ("Perdue Chicken") and having to quarantine at the end didn't help and made him look iffy.

The embrace of Trump has been awkward, as Trump flails wildly and tosses out all these election fraud conspiracy charges.  Plus Loeffler and Perdue then had to infight with the GA GOP, criticizing the Sec of State and Guv.  Trump didn't do them any favors.

Early indications are Warnock should knock off Loeffler and Ossoff with a good chance in a slightly tighter race.  Lotta votes to come in form ATL and environs with Dems trailing by small numbers prior.

A full Blue Congress would be a nice repudiation of Trump and McConnell.
And allow Biden to hit the ground running.  Also a nice boost for Kamala "Tiebreaker" Harris.

Hopefully the mini-Blue wave pans out.

My sense is Perdue and Loeffler could have survived any 2 of these 3:
being unimpressive candidates; GA shifting purple; and Trump being a maniac.

Yes, but with the bulk of what is remaining likely to split for the Dems - the only question remaining is how much so.

heh

We love ya, Luee

Huge chunks of Dem votes still to come.

Could we have a recount?  Seems like it may be close enough for that.

Wouldnt that be special?

Ossoff running 16K votes behind Warnock.
Or,
Perdue running 16K ahead of Laugher.

Close races.

Biden only won GA by 12,000 votes.

https://www.cnn.com/2021/01/05/politics/mike-pence-donald-trump-congress-election/index.html

Pence informs Trump that he has no way to block Biden's win.

It's over.

Or perhaps overer.

Cant be closer

119K lead for Perdue (forget Loeffler)

170K outstanding in Dekalb

If you give them 82-18% - that comes very close to erasing the entire 119K

Some Republican rurals outstanding...

BUT

we still have provisionals, drop boxes and militaries to count later

Imagine - 4 mil+ votes and within .5%

Dramatic indeed.

As I said - whoever is declared loser will claim shenanigans, so that fun still lies ahead
