Answer to naysayers of the deal:

"Gives the President the ability to move forward with the plan that experts have said we want and need at the border."

- Thank you, Senator Capito

Of course now we are hearing thewre are some interesting items Dems have tried to include in this deal.......sneakily........which is why I'd guess it's been slow moving...

Meanwhile over at CNN< some snotnose named John Berman has the audacity to hit BACK at a West Virginia Congresswoman (sorry - SENATOR) who corrected him on a drug bust that had occurred at the border - spouting incorrect info in a superior fashion.  No respect at all for a woman whose people in WVA have been hit hard by the OXY/FENTANYL/HEROIN surge .

(At issue was a heroin bust that occurreed NOT at a port of entry, as superior deuche Berman kept on about.  Video if I can find it)

Found it - at 18:45 below

Confrontation I cite is about 23:15

WVA heroin addicts are victims.

DC crack addicts were criminals.

Thank you, Michelle Malkin -

"More people favor a WALL than ever before.  The shutdown worked in raising awareness."

No matter how Malkin and you try to spin it, two months later, after shutting down the government for 35 days, costing the economy $11 billion -- $3 billion of which is definitely lost for good -- and throwing the lives of hundreds of thousands of American workers and their families into extreme distress, Donald J. Trump gained nothing... but hey! They raised awareness, right?

WINNING?

Suckers...

Which does not include anything resembling the wall he has been blathering about for nearly 4 years.

We don't need no steenkin' polls.  Kid and his main squeeze Michelle got their fingers on the pulse of true America.

Quote
As a clip from the interview with Scott Pelley was released, Mr. Pelley said on “CBS This Morning” that Mr. McCabe had confirmed a New York Times report that the deputy attorney general, Rod J. Rosenstein, had suggested wearing a wire in meetings with Mr. Trump and that Justice Department officials discussed recruiting cabinet members to invoke the 25th Amendment to remove Mr. Trump from office.

“There were meetings at the Justice Department at which it was discussed whether the vice president and a majority of the cabinet could be brought together to remove the president of the United States under the 25th Amendment,” Mr. Pelley said. “These were the eight days from Comey’s firing to the point that Robert Mueller was appointed special counsel. And the highest levels of American law enforcement were trying to figure out what do with the president.”

Former law enforcement officials said the comments were made during a pair of meetings on May 16, 2017. Mr. McCabe and his former colleagues kept contemporaneous memos on their interactions with Mr. Trump and Justice Department officials.

According to one of those memos written by Mr. McCabe, an excerpt from which was provided to The New York Times, the former F.B.I. agent wrote that “we discussed the president’s capacity and the possibility he could be removed from office under the 25th Amendment” and the deputy attorney general indicated he looked into the issue and determined he would need a “majority or 8 of the 15 cabinet officials.” Mr. McCabe added that Mr. Rosenstein suggested that he might have supporters in the attorney general and secretary of Homeland Security.

You have to feel a sort of pity for the desperate state of mind of anyone thinking 8 was attainable.

Here's a Left perspective (though many moderates might have these same qualms) on the so-called Smart Wall proposal....

"More people favor a WALL than ever before.  The shutdown worked in raising awareness."

It’s funny you just repeat the latest GOP talking point (and thank its bearer!) can’t wait to post it here to own us libs…

Did you actually look at the polling to see if it’s true?  It isn’t.

And does this make any sense to you?  A President, whose primary job is communicating his legislative priorities, needs to hold up the paychecks of hundreds of thousands of Federal Workers, making air travel and the foods we eat less safe, damaging our national parks, etc, etc, all to “raise awareness” of an issue?  If tens of political rallies, an informal televised debate with his political opposition, and a [n]nationally televised address[/b] didn’t raise awareness of the issue, isn’t this a pretty huge indictment of Trump’s ability to do his job?

And how does the political fallout after the public overwhelmingly blamed him for the shutdown and after Pelosi bested him in a knockout effect his ability to “raise awareness” on the next bullshit issue he wants to prioritize?

It’s a stupid talking point for so many reasons.  Of course, you think its great.

Exactly.  Trump no more free now to pursue no wall than he was before.

A political one-liner Trump's campaign handlers came up with in order to focus his 6 year old brain on immigration issues is not an expert vetted solution to immigration issues.
