Too bad about Rubio.  He was doing wonders to steady the Cavs.
Had been finishing games next to Garland.
Rubio played 37 minutes, was one assist short of a triple-double, and then his knee gave away with no one around him.  Kind of a classic overuse/tired type of injury.
Which is why I don't like Thibs abusing his players with high minutes.
This year hasn't been too bad.
But late game injuries due to fatigued ligaments is a real thing.

Cavs reportedly trying to add Rondo.
Wonder if they can trade Sexton before the deadline.  He's injured and needs an extension, so it's probably very unlikely.

TyH had a terrific December
16 / 9 / 4 with a block and 1.6 steals thrown in.
50 / 47 / 89 shooting.
Oh yeah, he also stole the starting PG spot.
Not bad 2 months before age 22.
(actually he's only had 5 birthdays ... born on leap day in 2000)

For the season 46 / 43 / 82

Fox had a big 4Q and SacKings won a close game
Didnt see it, but looks like Caleb Martin kept fouling Fox for 7 late 4Q points, and Fox made a few earlier 4Q J's.

Kings make studs available
https://www.phillyvoice.com/nba-trade-rumors-kings-deaaron-fox-tyrese-haliburton-ben-simmons-tyrese-maxey-daryl-morey/

What I've been talking about.
A Fox-Simmons pairing sounds awkward and off to me.
But TyH-Simmons sounds delightful.
tyH is Kings only keeper imo.  Everyone else makes little to no impact on winning.

'6ers otoh should take a TyH + package, if available.
PHI can start by asking for tyH + Hield or TyH + Barnes.
Maybe go down to TyH + Bagley + a pair of 1st rounders.   Might not sound overwhelming, but would boost PHI considerably.  TyH is a versatile 2 way player.  Loves to drive and dump off to a Big in the paint.  Can shoot outside.  Just a heady player.

We'll see what the Kings do.  A few January W's and I bet they chicken out on any big trade.  And they might decide that Gentry is an interim coach and they should get a long term coach in place before they blow things up, thereby mistakenly punting to next season.  But SacKings should really make a move now.  Fox for Simmons would be a brilliant move.

Leading shot blocker for Kings gets 1 per game.   This is astonishing

I would be looking to add a rim protector.

Barnes doesnt do much of the same things  Barrett lacks (steals, blocks)

Yet Fox is blamed for the defense being poor

I think Kings are one of like 8 or 10 teams to score 110+ per game.  Not far away.  Of course Simmons would be a great grab.

Fox is the worst defender on the 29th ranked defense.
He's also supposed to be the star and leader.
We'll see how long his newfound defensive effort lasts.

But yes, it is a poorly constructed team.
I've enjoyed watching Damion Jones get his bearings.

Tied with Barnes and Hield (115 per 100).  Mitchell actually a tick below at 117.

Ty at 113

Holmes and Metu are the best

Hasnt been a good  offensive rating season for Fox.  My guess is second half he improves on that metric.

TyH 4th in 3Pt% ... 11th in steals per game ... 12th in assists
Stats rather similar to FVV and JRue.
TyH is just 21.

Malik Monk has been killing it.  50/40/90 the past dozen games (Dec & Jan)
An erratic player I never cared for.  But right now his confidence is way up.  LeBJ has been finding him.  Been hitting big shots.

Pleasantly surprised to see StanJohnson starting for the Lakes.  An outstanding defender, and great in transition.  Doesn't shoot well.
Marq Chriss is back in the NBA.  Beefier than before.
Tim Frazier made it in too.  Crafty little guy, but suffers on D.

Some talk that ATL is shopping Gallo and Reddish.
I had said those two should be available.
If Hunter is ever healthy.
Team is underperforming.
And underutilizing Bogdanx2
