Cut or traded. We can get what he gives us for five mil or less.

Haha

I would rather see Jacob Toppin get marginal swing forward reps than Bogey, especially if that is the plan heading into camp. He is not as savvy, smooth or sure as Bogey but he can still be developed more than he is and can become more of a two-way presence down the line. Hopefully we will be making room for a draftee in that role, but if not, Toppin gets my nod over Bogey especially with the money losing Bogey frees up to keep other pieces. Precious also has more on court value for the Knicks than Bogey and Burks is close and should also come cheaper. I might feel different if Bogey had been available and impactful against the Pacers. I do not currently see him as an asset worth his number.

And the Kings motivation to do this?

Vezenkov wants out. They are top heavy in salary and will need to fill out the roster and they need the shooting and poise Bogey is famous for plus one less year of Barnes Salary if they replace him with Bogey. They will need the space to keep Murray w a big extension.

Me?

Would like to keep Bogey.

For his game. Ending contract.

Possibilities which may manifest by February 2025.

Think he is better suited for a bench role than HB.

Perhaps is time to.ponder our three draft picks.

Barnes is better suited for Thibs.

I like Ryan Dunn and Daron Holmes as our first rounders.

Nice fantasy. Like his game.

How suited is Barnes to coming off the bench. He's been a 30+minutes man his whole career.

Would provide coverage at PF and SF.

Do we really want THAT contract through the summer of 2026?  Just divested ourselves of Fournier, and only have a one year commitment to Bogie should we pick up.his option.

Fournier and Bogey are neither as impactful to winning as Barnes. 2 way coverage at 3 and 4. He is not young which increases the risk but that is where the bench role becomes logical as well.

Barnes cannot be a long term starter in SAC and Bogey w one year is more flippable for someone who might be with one year left than Barnes would be with two years.

For us he is plug and play leadership that can physically and skillfully hold his own, a guy who is hard to rattle with championship pedigree who still gets the tough rebounds that make Thibs ball work.

Hartenstein Robinson Bol
Randle Barnes Holmes
Anonoby Hart Dunn
DiVincenzo Burks Milton
Brunson McBride ?

That is a team to beat the crap out of the Celtics even if they add a piece or two.
