Less than five years into its massive $280 million deal with UCLA, Under Armour is trying to get out.  Under Armour informed the school that it wants to terminate the 15-year, $280 million deal.  Under Armour reportedly paid UCLA $15 million up front, and then agreed to about $11 million each year in rights and marketing fees. It also provides about $7.4 million in clothing, shoes and equipment each year, and about $2 million each year for facility upgrades.

Nearly $20M a year in sponsorship.  And free labor.  Not bad ...

Brooklyn Nets forward Wilson Chandler is opting out of playing in Orlando, Florida.  The Portland Trail Blazers' Trevor Ariza, the Washington Wizards' Davis Bertans, the Los Angeles Lakers' Avery Bradley and the Dallas Mavericks' Willie Cauley-Stein have also told their respective teams that they will not be playing when the season resumes.

I think these are all guys who will likely be free agents (Ariza with just $1.8 guaranteed next year).  Guys who don't want to hurt their value or get hurt.
And expecting to move on, they don't have much team loyalty. 

The only key one is A Very Bradley.  Since Lakes are a contender and he was starting.  The other opt-outs (so far) are on weak teams not expected to go far.
Though POR has some potential if Nurk & Zach are back.  Then losing Ariza could hurt.

Lakes might waive him and pick up JEarl Smith who has been out of NBA for two years.  JEarl might need to just clear up his blood chemicals a bit.

That hurts the Lakes, as Bradley was a defensive demon and fit well for them (he was starting during their run, I believe).  Means LBJ has to play more D and LAL has to rely on Rondo more.

I don't like teams reconfiguring before the playoffs, but we've had this the last handful of seasons where players get bought out and catch on with a playoff team.  So it's become normalized.
