WNBA star Maya Moore helps free innocent man from prison

Guy spent 20 years in jail.   It was a home burglary where the homeowner got shot twice but survived.  Got a 50 year sentence, without killing anyone.  Kid was 16 when it happened but tried as an adult.  Kind of crazy all around.  But the evidence was flimsy and the jury all-white.

And of course he's not the only one railroaded suchly.
Hell, even if he were guilty, 20 years would likely be recompense, especially since he was so young at the time.

Hurray for Maya Moore!

Joe Johnson is 1 of 14 players in NBA history to have 20,000 career points, 5,000 career rebounds, and 5,000 career assists.

MJ
LeBJ
Larry Birdseed
The Big O
Kobe

Jerry West
Kareem
Wilt
Havlicek (took me a few minutes to think of him)
Wade

KG
Paul Pierce
Karl Malone
(3 guys with ultra-long high level careers)
Harden

That's my 14.

DR. J would be there if you count ABA feats.
Magic would've made it if he had fewer sexual partners.
I doubt Barkley or Shaq or Olajuwon passed enough -- though why should they when they'd get the ball inside and be able to score in close.
Has Westbrook reached 20K points yet?  He should easily have the boards and assists.

Speaking of longevity ...
Vince  (if Pierce is wrong, swap in Vince)
Also Drexler could be there (if Wade is wrong, swap in Drexler)

You gave 14 names when 13 was needed.
JJ is one of 14 i gave in the clue.

13 remain.
You got 10 right/4 incorrect:

Wilt No
Pierce No
Wade No (Yes to Drexler)
Harden No

Still need 2 names.

Hint: They played for the same franchise. One still active.

Harden was a wildcard.
I thought he might have slipped in.

I figured Wade would have gotten there.  Solid boarder and passer.
Wilt wasn't a big assist guy until later in his career.  But played a long time.
Must've been close to 5K assists.

That's impressive that KG did the 20/5/5 carer thang.
Pierce must have been close.
I figured one of them would have gotten there.

After the obvious half dozen, I tried to think of long career HoFers.  And all-around players.

I'll leave it to others to guess (which is why I went with white to start).

Quote
Chemistry absolutely has been one of the Celtics' strong suits this season, though, and it's followed them into the bubble: The C's have had a grand old time on the golf course, swimming pool and volleyball court during their downtime away from practices.

Kanter and point guard Kemba Walker have played a key role in Boston's improved chemistry, as the team's two free-agent additions have meshed seamlessly with a young Celtics squad featuring budding stars in Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown.

The Celtics had plenty of mouths to feed last season with Kyrie Irving, Terry Rozier, Marcus Morris and Al Horford all vying for touches with Tatum, Brown and Gordon Hayward, but Brad Stevens' club has played largely selfless basketball this season en route to a 43-21 regular-season record.

I thought others would toss out guesses.  And then I'd rejoin.

I wouldn't have come up with Payton.
Good size and was a tough boarder, but you don't think of PG's hitting 20 / 5 / 5.
So Oscar, Payton and Westbrook are the 3 PG's who hit those career metrics.

Just checked and:
Chris Paul 18,711  /  9,607  /  4,572
-- he'd be there if he didn't miss 20 games a year
Stockton:  19,711  /  15806  /  4051
-- almost 20K scoring, but Utah always had rebounding Bigs (Mailman, Eaton)
Stock was tough at setting screens and blocking out.

A few others who are close:
Pierce:    26,397  /  7527  /  4708 assists
Harden:  20,723  /  4388 /    5193 assists
I knew Harden had passed 20K recently.  But i\his boards are still two years away from 5K.  harden just 30.  So barring injury or 6 man defenses, he's gong to put up some impressive career stats.

Speaking of, LeBJ has a pretty good chance of topping Kareem.
40K / 10K / 10K will be pretty insane.

Over 24 years, Popovich has won at a 67.6% clip.
Good for 6th best winning % by a coach all time.

Which coaches have the Top 5 winning %?
(minimum 80 games coached).

I'm guessing Kerr and Phil J are somewhere on the list.

Kerr is 2nd with 70.9% W's.
Phil Jax 3rd  at  70.4%

The other 3 are harder ...

Otherwise, Doc Rivers has 938 Wins, and is tied with Red Auerbach for 11th all time.
6 more regular season W's and Doc becomes a Top 10 all time winningest coach.

I went for low-hanging fruit.

I wondered about Rivers, and didn't consider Auerbach as he some eh years in DC and before snagging Russell in Boston.

how about Pat Riley

Pt Riley 63.6% has the 11th best winning %.
Auerbach is 9th best at 66.2%

#7 & #8 best winning %'s, the two coaches just after Popovich are also interesting and hard to guess.

But we'll stick to Top 5.
1.
2. Kerr
3. Phil Jax
4.
5.
