69000 are hospitalized with COVID

How many are delta?  How many OMRICON?

Quote
It will take time for a consistent picture to emerge from countries that currently have fewer Omicron infections. On 13 December, Denmark released data showing that hospitalization rates for people infected with Omicron seemed to be on a par with those for people infected with other variants. But this comparison was based on only about 3,400 cases of Omicron infection and 37 hospitalizations.

Similarly, a 16 December report from Imperial College London found no evidence of diminished hospitalizations from Omicron infections compared with Delta in England, although this was again based on relatively few cases. Overall, the numbers are still too small to draw firm conclusions about the severity of disease caused by Omicron, says Troels Lillebek, an infectious-disease specialist at the University of Copenhagen.

And a rapidly spreading variant could dangerously strain health-care systems, even if the risk of severe disease or death is relatively low for any individual.

(rest of quote, minus quote marks) A small fraction of a very large number is still a large number, says Woolhouse. So the population-level threat is very real.

WHY are those with COVID and mild symptoms even in a hospital?

Are these beds being used as "just in case" reasoning?

This should be where the antivirals kick in.

"The Dark Side Of California" is the headline in the YouTube video:
"The California Dream is DEAD".

Sad really.

Welcome back Bambu, good to see you.

Here is the house where I lived in Malibu after attending AVC and the AADA, my dream was to get work as an actor and buy my house where I lived in Malibu...

http://www.realtor.com/realestateandhomes-detail/6315-Gayton-Pl_Malibu_CA_90265_M15737-07387

But, I did not make it. I lived like a king for one year, then it was over. I could not get any acting work.

Here is my student film from USC film school...

https://youtu.be/GJ2wBMgs-lQ

We have great schools, and California is still great, but we need to get back to the basics, and we need to start doing all of the things that made California great in the first place. Hollywood, surfing, beautiful women, etc. People are tired of the gangs, and homelessness, and drugs, and all of that, people need to get back to the basics of what made California great in the first place. And we need to define ourselves, we must not let our enemies define us.

Salute,

69000 are hospitalized with COVID

How many are delta?  How many OMRICON?

Given what a small percentage of the cases are Omicron at this stage?

Ask me again in a week. Two weeks.

Omicron will be the dominant strain before the new year. I suspect that the number hospitalized with COVID will climb well past that 69,000. I would love to be wrong.

Not everybody has mild symptoms, Kid.

Just some.

The 1980's were great in California, Reagan was great and he was loyal to California, it started going downhill in about 1990, and California went downhill the whole time Bill Clinton was President, the General Motors plant in Van Nuys closed and went to Canada, and a lot of movie and television jobs were lost to Canada. Bill Clinton is a Rhodes Scholar, he studied in England, so he is on the side of England and he does not care if California loses jobs to Canada.

It seems like everyone is just taking from California instead of building here now. We need to put California first again instead of sending jobs to Canada and to China and to other places.

And we need for Americans to buy the Sony Pictures Studio in Culver City from the Japanese, maybe the Seminole Tribe will join together with the San Manuel Tribe and with some other wealthy tribes to buy it.

California is lucky to have Disney and Disneyland.

We need to tell Canada and China "No" and we need to focus on creating jobs for our own people here in California, and we need to get back to the basics.

We have people coming here from all over the world for opportunity, and we have people coming to our Southern Border, we have plenty of workers, and we have great schools, we will bounce back.

Universal Studios is American owned again, a company from Pennsylvania bought it. When I worked at Universal it was owned by the Japanese, and then Canadians bought it, now it is American owned again.

California will bounce back, we just need to get back to the basics. And we were built on the foundation provided by Athens, and Rome, we need to get back to the basics.

There are times, Tony, when you go further off the deep end than usual.

This would be one of them.

Anaheim needs to have an international film festival.

It is silly that Toronto has a bigger film festival than Anaheim.

We had one film festival in Anaheim in 2010, and that was it. We need to bounce back, and we need to have a great international film festival in Anaheim.

And we need a new modern movie studio in Anaheim, maybe Disney will build one here.

Tell me more about California and the Clinton years, Tony.

I remember the Clinton years, it was all downhill here in California, and I remember watching him on television as he did everything wrong.

And the General Motors plant closed in Van Nuys, and those jobs were never replaced. GM lost 75,000 jobs here then. Those jobs all went to Canada.

We need to have good strong leaders here in California who put California and the people of California first, and who create jobs here instead of sending the jobs to other places.

That is stuff that falls squarely on the shoulders of Pete Wilson, the shittiest failson Governor since Ronnie Raygun. It takes a soulless republican to tank a state economy in the middle of a national boom.

Pete Wilson was horrible, and he did a horrible job, and he was racist, he hurt race relations in California.

But, also Nancy Pelosi has to be blamed for her part of the current issue, and it is time for her to retire. Maybe she can be replaced by Sabrina Cervantes who is also a Democrat, Sabrina is a rising star in California.

San Bernardino used to be great, it was a place which was made nice after the Great Depression, and it was where the first McDonald's restaurant was, it was a great place in the 50s through to the 90s, it used to have great malls, etc, then in the 1990s it started going downhill. Now all of the great malls and wonderful department stores are gone in San Bernardino. So sad. Sabrina Cervantes is trying to save California, and she is helping San Bernardino. Hopefully soon new malls and new department stores will open in San Bernardino.

California will bounce back, Anaheim averaged 500,000 tourists per month in 2019, and Disney was making record amounts of money. Maybe Disney will open a movie studio in Anaheim.

Salute,

Tony V.
