American  peoples opinion of President Joe Biden handling of key issues has plummeted over the last year, a Harvard/Harris survey found.

The survey revealed that Biden approval has dropped 18 points over the last year. In March 2021, 57 percent approved of Biden, compared to 39 percent who now approve. His disapproval currently stands at 55 percent, and of those, 38 strongly disapprove.

Same story on the economy, immigration, and reacting to the coronavirus over the last year. In March 2021, for instance, 60 percent approved of his handling of the economy. It now stands at 35percent [ b] a 25 percent free fall[/b]

The question is not whether the Judiciary Committee will vote for Judge Jackson. It is almost certain they will deadlock, despite her being well qualified (Sen. Thom Tillis, R-NC).

The question is whether, after voting the tie, they will then vote to send it to the whole Senate for a vote, anyway.

That was what happened with both Bork (who did not even manage a split JC) and Thomas (who had a 7-7 split).

Even if the Judiciary Republicans cannot follow tradition and advance the nomination to the floor for a full vote, the nomination will be reported out. And currently it looks likely to pass without much excitement.

But is the GOP so far gone that even this level of simple decency is beyond them?
