http://www.vice.com/en/article/a35mya/nearly-all-mass-shooters-since-1966-have-had-four-things-in-common

This is why I believe their study is doomed in its efforts to change things:

Quote
"Data is data," said Jillian Peterson, a psychologist at Hamline University and co-author of the study. "Data isn't political. Our hope is that it pushes these conversations further."

She believes that. And I want to believe it.

But I know that the pro-gun lobby overwhelmingly believes that data is political, that to even ask the questions they were asking puts the the researchers in opposition to the Conservatives and the pro-gun lobby, just as honest climate research does, just as honest US history does, just as straightforward examinations of the economy do.

The information is still valuable and will likely drive policy in about half the states.

Peter Navarro seems to believe that he is above US law and that subpoenas don't apply to him - whether by Congress or by federal grand juries.

You know the GOP is desperate whenever they roll out Hunter Biden.

Nothing to roll out -the story tells itself.  And absolutely will affect the 2024 race.

Dream on sucker.

Hunter Biden will only put more scrutiny on the batshit crazy MAGA candidates

I said race, not races.

You were talking 2024

Candidates include DeSantis and Abbott and all the othe folks who will be in the primary. Not Trump, though.

His asshole is about be joined by a new rectal orifice.

If that happens, the country should declare a new ecumenical holey day.

As for embarassing relatives, I think Americans are pretty jaded.  Jimmy didn't lose 1980 because of Billy.

The Marshall's investigation is both ratcheting up and making waves.

If it was a clerk who leaked it and the clerks are as smart as they are considered to be, we and the Court both may never know or at least not until the movie script is finished...

Sussman found not guilty of lying to the FBI in Durham's first case.

I suspect this bodes ill for his other cases and they may never go anywhere.

This is quite a prank - and that guy has balls of brass.   The NRA crowd didn't even get that it was satire.

Interesting story about the SCOTUS clerks.  The cellphone things sounds, um, unconstitutional.  Wonder if they will end up litigating and have to take their case to the....wait, oh dear....

https://www.cnn.com/2022/05/31/politics/texas-redistricting-lawsuit-supreme-court/index.html

Texas folks tried to claim that exposing the inner workings of their legislature was somehow not subject to examination.

Wrongo.

I think only people who have been registered and trained should be allowed to wield thoughts and prayers.

If you would like to see your children taught in schools, vote for Democratic candidates.

If you would like to see your children shot in schools, vote for republicans.

That is a key distinction voters have to consider in 2022.

Durham might have had some sort of case if republicans were not so clearly colluding with Russia to gain and hold power.

If republicans win, they will try to start filtration camps here and establish Kremlin style media to make their lies the only voices you hear.

Republicans promise full kleptocracy by their trollish thugs. If they can win some, they will do everything in their power to deliver no matter how many lives or how much of the Constitution they destroy in the process.

The Biden administration is praising themselves right now, and it is not a time for praise nor for celebration while we have 60,000 homeless people on the streets of Los Angeles.

We need to get the homeless people into housing, and we need healthcare and education for all people.

We can get people out there planting orange trees, and they can work in the orange groves and we can sell orange juice to the Chinese, and to Taiwan, etc. We need reciprocal trade. We can grow food, and we can send food to the people where the factories are. We can send orange juice to South Korea, etc.

And instead of homeless people in our courtyards, we can have beautiful courtyards with fountains and statues, and with outdoor landscaping, etc, and with cobblestones, etc. We can clean it up and make it nice like in Rome.

We need to have housing, healthcare, and education for our people, and we need jobs and fair trade, and we need to clean things up and make it nice, like in Rome, we need fountains and cobblestones.

We also need a high speed train between Anaheim and Vegas.

Salute,

Tony V.

We need to build colleges instead of building prisons. We need to improve education and we can raise little scientists instead of raising little gang members.

We also need for Disney to work together with the colleges so that people can train for jobs at Disney. And it would be great to get children to dream of jobs at Disney at a young age, they can watch Disney movies, and they can have Disney toys, etc, and they need to know that they have the option of working for Disney when they grow up.

Salute,

Tony V.

While I think that life is easier sometimes with a couple of glasses of wine, we have some exciting things happening around us if we want to keep dreaming.

Vegas is doing amazing things. And Vegas was all a big dream for Bugsy.

Guys like Bugsy, and Walt Disney, they left a great foundation for our people.

https://www.usnews.com/news/best-states/nevada/articles/2021-06-18/globe-shaped-msg-sphere-project-marks-milestone-in-las-vegas

Then, George Lucas sold "Star Wars" to Disney. Disney rules for a lot of people, a lot of people love Disney.

And we need a high speed train between Anaheim and Vegas. Great things are happening in Anaheim and in Vegas.

Also, Austin Butler is from Anaheim, he knows the people here.

Salute,

Tony V.
