Shirkey apologized for his words, but he did not actually admit that he was wrong, only that his words were unwise. I think the Senate Majority Leader in Michigan needs to step down from at least his position and quite possibly his seat.

The great Ray Kelly's kid Greg in a  bit of a war with the other networks over how many were killed at the Capitol on Jan 6

Kelly stated in a tweet, I believe that it was ONE, while networks and other wonderful places have said as many as 5.

Kelly states today how there has been no corroboration that the officer that dies did so due to being struck - though the networks ran and ran with that.

Kelly is making sure to show no disrespect to the officer nut must defend his quote from the salad tossers.

Media might have gone easier on Trump if he didn't lie from Day One -- and still they gave him a ton of publicity for every single tweet for 3 1/2 years.

Like immigration, Trump identified a problem and then generated a lot of noise while making a complete hash of things.


Economy.
Trump was handed a pretty solid Obama economy which he tried unsuccessfully to goose with tax cuts.
Botching the epidemic hurt the economy as much as the virus itself.

Negotiations with other nations.
Trashed our allies, questioned NATO, embraced dictators and strongmen and Saudi warmongers


And of course Obama and Biden came into office during crises, having to clean up the incompetence of
the prior GOP Admin.  Trump came in when things were pretty calm and going in a good direction (courtesy of Obama
and Dem good governance).
