Red seems to gloss over the fact that there is joint Senate-House oversight of the Capitol Police.

And any issues which Red may have with Nancy regarding the Jan 6th insurrection, he surely also has with Mitch.

The United States Capitol Police (USCP) is overseen by the Capitol Police Board and has Congressional oversight by appropriations and authorizing committees from the U.S. House of Representatives and U.S. Senate.

Texas should not sit around waiting for an end to the use of fossil fuels, but instead the people of Texas need to invest in a cleaner future, and the people of Texas can profit and benefit from a cleaner future along with whoever else was smart enough to get on board to creating a cleaner planet. 

The people of Texas can study, and invent, and they can get patents, and they can do manufacturing, etc, and the people of Texas can move into a cleaner planet along with the rest of us.

The same with the coal miners, in Kentucky, and elsewhere, they need to study, and learn, and invent, and they need to move into the future. The coal jobs are not coming back.

On March 2, 1876, just minutes before the House of Representatives was scheduled to vote on articles of impeachment, Belknap raced to the White House, handed Grant his resignation, and burst into tears.

This failed to stop the House. Later that day, members voted unanimously to send the Senate five articles of impeachment, charging Belknap with “criminally disregarding his duty as Secretary of War and basely prostituting his high office to his lust for private gain.”

The Senate convened its trial in early April, with Belknap present, after agreeing that it retained impeachment jurisdiction over former government officials. During May, the Senate heard more than 40 witnesses, as House managers argued that Belknap should not be allowed to escape from justice simply by resigning his office.

Of course, the fellows of Belknap's party, as with Trump's, 145 years later, chose almost unanimously to defend him by claiming lack of jurisdiction, though that issue had been voted upon then, also. He was acquitted.

The Warren Hastings (British India ruler) impeachment trial was ongoing during the drafting of the Constitution.  The framers mentioned it during their deliberations.  He was out of office when his impeachment began.  So they were aware of the issue of former officials being impeached -- the Hastings impeachment was a big deal in Britain in 1787-79, until it dragged on for 5 more years.  Some US states specifically mentioned former officials; Delaware restricted impeachment to only former officials.  Etc.  It seems to be why the Constitution talks about civil officials in one section regarding impeachment but then later switches to persons.  That is, to include ex-officials.  I thought the House managers did a good job on that. 

The Hastings case from the time of drafting the Constitution + Belknap from the Civil War era make it pretty clear ex-officials are impeachable.  Plus the Senate voted that ex-officials are impeachable.  The Senate shall try "all impeachments" (which would include ex-officials).  Overall a very strong case.

No.   You can't have a coal plant on your roof, providing backup when conventional grid fails.  Grids come from the fossil fuel era.   Green provides a more flexible mix of home production and plant production.   Which reduces dependence on centralized grid sources.   

Now go find another obstacle you can whinge about.
