In my state we plan to use some of the massive rescue package passed by Democrats and signed into law by President Biden to address the needs of our homeless population, in part through increasing funding and expanding programs like the ones Tony speaks so highly of so often.
I know you have no hope of simple acts of good government in Florida except on the local level or when the state is strong armed or stepped over by the feds. So far what we’ve seen from DeSantis in response to the many crises afflicting you is either the suggestion that residents eat their young or burn them as fuel. Living in your shithole state always makes it seem like things are worse than they would seem were you most anywhere else in the country.
Biden is making vaccines available to all vets and their spouses, full stop, ASAP. The fact that too many of those vets are homeless means that this is also a form of relief recipients will be glad Biden has thought of and is getting done.
