Speaking of FFs and their pluses/minuses....
I recently learned that George Washington promoted mules over draft horses, because his studies of forage determined that mules could do the same quantity of work on half the feed. He was also opposed to coal, in home heating. And advocated pork over beef, again due to its more efficient use of land and foraging resources. Turns out, he was an early carbon footprint minimizer.
And our nation's tradition of "40 acres and a mule, " owes much to GW.
