BTW, a small semantic nitpick about a current practice in journalism and media generally.  I will bold the phrase in this clip...

One of the economists who countered Fitchs argument in the amicus brief points out that most U.S. mothers dont have access to that kind of child care. (People from privilege experience a social safety net they imagine everyone else experiences,) said Kelly Jones, a professor of economics at American University who focuses on gender equality and welfare. When high income people get pregnant unexpectedly, they can turn to family members or other members of their community, she said - or they can fly out of state to get an abortion. But many pregnant people have no one to fall back on and no money to pay for child care.

I am told that this is now the correct appellation, to be used rather than the, ahem, gender stereotyping of pregnant women.  Look, I am all for gender fluidity and not pigeonholing, but there is NO medical technology currently available that allows men to carry a baby (with a placenta attached to their abdominal wall) and then give birth (C-section).  And even if you were a trans woman who somehow had a functioning uterus and birth canal installed surgically, is there really any problem including you in the class of human beings called women?  Did you not go to enormous trouble to become a woman and get all your pronouns changed?  Would you not, on the issues of reproductive right, not wish to express the solidarity with other women that the phrase pregnant women seems to affirm?

You seemed somehow unable to register that this Attorney General had a father who went to great trouble to move and enshrine the home of the first Grand Wizard of the KKK and then profit it from it.  Which profits helped her as she invented her Horatiette Alger story of struggle and triumph over the burdens of single motherhood. The same Attorney General who keeps beating on her kettle drum of solidarity and support for impoverished women of color.

Red is trying to keep his ignorance up so he can still support his favorite traitor and rapist in 2024.

Well documented history in Mississippi, as I said.

No one disputed that it was well documented.  Indeed, my basis for posting that clip was that it was well documented.  Which makes people wonder what your point was in pointing out that which was probably already obvious.  It is not what you say here, Ward, it is what you conspicuously do NOT say.

So, yes, well documented.....AND?

What are your thoughts on this latter day cracker Marie Antoinette?  I am not partial to the idea of letting you sit quietly on a fence when it comes to someone enriched by her family enshrining the KKK founders hunting lodge.  And then telling black women how to manage their uteri, with the copious assistance of family and friends and EMPOWERMENT.

Well.then, here s to the State of Mississippi, where the calendar is lying when it reads the present time,.and they tremble in the shadows to the thunder of the Klan, and every single classroom is a factory of despair.

The new left is pregnant with idiocy.

The farm is a thriving business and nationally known for quail hunting. One restored cabin was built by a Civil War General and KKK big wig.
It is history.
But its heritage has nothing to do with farm functions today.
And it certainly has nothing to do with a court case on abortion.

It's not transwomen that are the issue, Barton.

It's transmen.

That's the reason for the change.

From CNN:

Another key justice, Brett Kavanaugh, however, noted that even if the issue were returned to the states, abortion would still be available in some of those states. He conceded that supporters of abortion rights have a "forceful argument" but asked if there were two interests at stake, why the court should be the arbiter.

From LATimes: Susan Collins reporting on her conversations with then SCOTUS nominee Kavanaugh: We talked about whether he considers Roe to be settled law He said that he agreed with what Justice Roberts said at his nomination hearing, in which he said that it was settled law.

Or, at least, not what Susan Collins thought it was.

We need to do more to help the orphans, especially if we ban abortions, if the Supreme Court rules against Roe Vs Wade.

Right now a huge percentage of foster children wind up homeless. We need to guide the foster children so that they go to college instead of winding up homeless.

And if women stop having abortions then there will be a huge increase in foster children.

We can train the foster children to be Crisis Intervention Specialists when they grow up, and they can be psychologists, and psychiatrists, and medical doctors, and they can be teachers, etc, and scientists, etc.

Salute,

Tony V.
