mrs bambu bought 3 Mickey Mouse watches in Walmart USA for US$60.
In Australia it would cost that much for one.
That's why we can't/won't work for $10ph....or $15, or $20...well maybe $20, depending
That is why it is good for the immigrants to go to Battle Mountain, Nevada, where they can buy land for one thousand dollars per acre. They can bring in Habitat For Humanity and they can build apartment complexes like in Santorini, Greece, and they can build the apartments for cheap. They can build first class housing for cheap because the land is cheap. And then they can do trade with San Francisco, etc. And they can live like hippies and like flower children and they can all share and they can all help each other.

Once upon a time I had flowers on my car, and *bullet holes* in the rear window.
It'll be back to communes in the West in the not too far distant future if things don't change soon.
Homes for the homeless is a tricky endeavour...nice free homes, every citizen will want one.
Housing for the homeless needs to be very basic...basic enough to keep the homeless comfortable and basic enough to repel "every citizen" from wanting it.
The housing for the homeless can be nice, like in Santorini, Greece, with swimming pools and with tennis courts, and with fun architecture, but the studio apartments can be small.
We want for the housing for the homeless to be nice and fun, like in Greece.
And we can provide the basics, food, shelter, and healthcare.
People will want to rise and succeed and people will want to do things. There can be libraries, and schools, and training for jobs, and there can be trade with San Francisco, etc.
And as people get married and as they have families then they will want to move out of the housing for the homeless and they will want to move into their own larger homes. Etc.
We need to get the homeless into exciting, fun, Greek style apartments, complete with swimming pools and tennis courts, but the studio apartments will be small, and as people rise and get married and have families then they will want to move into larger housing suited for a family.
Salute,
Tony V.
