We need to make our immigrants legal, like Reagan did.
We need for workers to be able to earn enough money to buy a home and raise a family from working the construction trades, etc.
In the 1950s a man hanging dry wall could buy a home and a car and he could support a family, but now we have illegal immigrants doing the work for $10 per hour cash under the table and the immigrants live in a one bedroom apartment with 10 people living there, and no one can make a living.
We need to make our immigrants legal so that they can join labor unions, and so that they can call the police in the case of an emergency, etc. And all of our workers, including established citizens as well as new immigrants need to be able to earn enough money from honest work to be able to buy a home and raise a family.

Seems to me you need to seal the Mexican border, stop illegal immigration, stop people smugglers, and introduce a legal guest worker program, with a pathway to citizenship if America needs more immigrants.
What America doesn't need ...more drug dealers, organised crime figures, rapists, murderers, unlicensed drivers killing Americans on the roads etc just waltzing in over the porous border.
I live down here by the border with Mexico, Mexico is only 100 miles away, and I love the Mexicans. In New York they love Canada, and in California we love Mexico. We do not need any walls, and these people are our Brothers. We need to treat them like Brothers. We need to make our immigrants legal, plus we need a new Good Neighbor policy, plus we need to invest in the ports in Mexico, and we need to welcome the Mexican truck drivers. We also need workers for our vineyards, and for our orange groves, and for our strawberry fields, etc. And we need for the Mexicans to be able to join the unions, they need to be able to join the Teamsters, and the Construction Unions, and the United Farm Workers, etc. We need for all of our people to be protected by the law, and all men are created equal.
We love the Mexicans here in California.

Why don't you move to Mexico? Then you can play immigrant, too.
I'm sure they'd love to have you, legally or illegally.
My Grandmother opened Gold mines in Mexico, and she helped to bring running water, electricity, telephones, paved roads, etc, to some very poor parts of Mexico, and they treated her like a Queen. They used to throw parties in her honor.
I went to Mexico as a teen with Youth For Christ, and it changed my life. I was helping desperate people, but at the same time they helped me because I saw what true poverty looks like, and I was so grateful to be an American. As we rise we need to remember to help the poor and the needy and the orphans, and it is good for our souls when we help other people and we store up our treasure in Heaven.
By the way, the immigrants can work with Habitat For Humanity to learn how to build housing, and then they can join a union if they want to and they can work in the construction industry. We have a huge homelessness problem and we need to build a lot of housing.
