We need to shut down this front of Russian war against the west. Starve and burn these rats out of their nests, metaphorically, through the law and the courts, of course.

All Americans should have basic housing, food, health care, and a free education.

In my hometown of Lancaster, California, they built the HUD welfare apartments right next to the community college, so that the poor people could walk to the college and get a good basic education and job training. That was a good design.

And as people go green, then the new electric companies need to be owned by the people of the communities, like how we own the electric company here in Anaheim, and some of the money can go into General Funds to be used by the people however they want.

And we need to spend some money making our Native American Indian reservations nicer, and we need to make sure that the Tribes have access to loans and grants, etc, and it could be good if the Tribes could have good libraries and observatories, etc, and schools, etc, whatever they want. The Tribes need to have access to money.

We need to stop the extreme poverty and homelessness from happening here in the USA.

And we need to open lots of drug treatment camps. And we need to train more doctors and psychiatrists.

We also need to teach the children young what a good relationship looks like, and we need to get the children to wait and have children when they get older and to go to college before they start a family. It is hard for people when they have children as poor teenagers. If they get an education first before they have children then they can have an easier life. We need to teach the children all of the stuff that we wish we knew when we were young.

And the whole "rugged individualist" thing is wrong-minded, humans are social beings, we need to have Tribes, and communities, and teams, etc.

Salute,

Tony V.

Careful Tony, or you could find yourself labelled a socialist/communist.  LOL

"Rugged individualist" is all good, but there should be social safety nets for those who cannot be so.
Not sure all education can be free...but some sort of 'means testing' could apply.

Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and U.A.E.Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed al Nahyan both declined U.S. requests to speak to Mr. Biden in recent weeks as Saudi and Emirati officials have become more vocal in recent weeks in their criticisms of American policy in the Gulf.

There was some expectation of a phone call, but it did not happen, said a U.S. official of the planned discussion between the Saudi Prince Mohammed and Mr. Biden.

It was part of turning on the spigot of Saudi Oil.

The Saudis have signaled that their relationship with Washington has deteriorated under the Biden administration, and they want more support for their intervention in the Yemen civil war and help with their own civilian nuclear program as Iran moves ahead.

WSJ, March 8, 2022

So Brandon wants more oil from the Saudis?
The Saudis want more love from Brandon.

Meanwhile oil is left in the ground in the USA and 2 year old children die in the Ukraine from Putin bombs.

You overpaid for yours, Bambu.

To the end of high school it was free...back in 1964.
University was free on scholarship for the best and brightest.

Primary school...up to age 12 was a breeze.
High school, first 3 years were ok, reached my 70% student standard, [think that's a 'C']. The latin, french, maths, history, science, english etc were basic.
After those 3 years you were 15, passed the Intermediate Certificate...were given a fancy certificate to say so, and could leave school and enter the workforce if you wished.
It would usually be Christmas then.
Sometime in the next year your would turn 16.
Most who left school then did trades apprenticeships...carpenters, plumbers, motor mechanics etc.

All good, young bambu, 15 going on 10, was 'sailing' thru life. Got his fancy certificate, framed it and hung it on the wall.
The next year was when all his troubles began.
The latin and french became a lot harder, the maths 1 and maths 2 were impossible, the physics and chemistry super impossible, the history ridiculous, and english not much better..there I encountered Mr Shakespeare.
Had to repeat that 4th year...failed to reach progression marks.
Finally got into the fifth and final year...70% 'C' went south to 49% 'F' and it was no fancy 'Leaving Certificate' for young bambu.
In the 49% 'F' somewhere there was a good grasp of basic maths and english grammar/spelling, not perfect, but good enough.
As luck would have it, banks etc were allowing people who had been educated to "Leaving Certificate Standard" [pass or fail] to sit their 'entrance exam'.
2 +2 = 4, and basic english grammar, young bambu's specialties.
Early Dec 1964, young bambu, 18 going on 12, too innocent, too nice, too polite, too well-mannered, too well groomed, not the first clue about anything much, arrived for his first day in the workforce...like a lamb to the slaughter. :)

I didn't pay anything.
I was a child.
In those days children were seen and not heard, did as they were told or got a belting from their parents.
Did what they were told at school or got a belting from often- sadistic teachers.
So, 18 yr olds were still children, 21 you had a party, got the
key of the door, then you were a man, could drink alcohol and go to pubs if you wanted to. And vote. At age 12 we were still mixing up ink for the ink wells in our school desks. Nibbed pens only to write with.
No calculators allowed in primary or high school as I remember.
No ball point pens allowed in primary school, maybe also high school for a while.
I would've been far better off in life without latin, french, anything but basic maths and basic english...most certainly could've done without Mr Shakespeare.
Replaced by geography, Everything there is to know about Automobiles and How to Maintain Them, COOKING, How To Be a Handyman.

You paid with your time, and got cheated at $0. Your parents got cheated, too.

Your inability to understand that is prima facie evidence of just how badly you got cheated.

The husband/father ruled the household, sometimes with an iron fist.  True "love, honour and obey stuff".
His own fault if he felt cheated...the principal informed him I was no genius,  but he still went ahead and chose those subjects anyway.
Of course it ended in failure, it was always going to.
Had he chosen easier subjects for me to study, like he was advised to, I would've passed and received that second certificate to hang on the wall.
2+2= 4 is easier than the maths that take up the whole blackboard.

In those days only the best and brightest, and some others, went to university...20% of students.
The rest were in the same line as me, doing the entrance exams for public service state and federal govt jobs (some available without uni degrees), banks, insurance companies, private companies who all trained their staff to their requirements.
After about 6 months doing basic office work I was sent to Tellers School, to be taught to be of course a teller.
It was there I received handgun training as part of the course, a gun range atop the head office city building.

Then along came the Vietnam War and stuffed my life again...the boss of the family couldn't wait for me to get drafted into the military.
"It'll make a man out of you". I thought "More like get me used as cannon fodder and splattered all over a jungle or rice field like all the others who are dying and being maimed for life there for nothing in the stoopid and useless war".
I objected, said "Nuke em".
Screaming matches in living room every other night.
I registered for the conscription ballot as I was required to do.
Didn't win the 'lottery draw', 'not required'.
Mommy's dearest was very happy, the family boss was very disappointed.
I learned some valuable lessons.
