ROMNEY readying another Presidential run - voting thumbs up on KBJ.

Voting thumbs up because she is qualified and competent and a good judge.

Not running for the oval office.

More than a year removed from January 6, 2021, Trump told The Washington Post in an interview Wednesday that he regretted not marching down to the US Capitol that day with the rioters who overran the building.
"Secret Service said I couldn't go," Trump said. "I would have gone there in a minute."

"Conservative, n. A statesman who is  enamored of existing evils, as distinguished from the Liberal, who  wishes to replace them with others." ~Ambrose Bierce, "Devil's  Dictionary," 1911

I think this needs updating. A Conservative is one who is enamored of prior evils and wishes to reinstitute them, as distinguished from the Liberal, who wishes to replace existing evils with others.

This describes quite a few.

Is any DISqualifying - this is always the question.

Who will clerk for Jackson?  Should there be an eye towards diversity?

The question is how to replace Thomas, Gorsuch, and Alito before the end of the year.

For most of the GOP she is disqualified because Biden nominated her. See also: Garland.

Other than that, no, only manufactured bullshit.

I don't think "her moment" would have described it so much as "GOP avoided yet another total shame."

(a) Who knows?

(b) Always the racist. The thing about Jackson is that in all likelihood, she wouldn't need "an eye toward diversity," as it would happen naturally. The reason that others need to keep an eye toward diversity (Gorsuch, Kavanaugh, Barrett) is that their 'natural' inclination will be to take clerks who look more like them.

All of Kavanaugh's clerks were women. Not sure if they still are, but I would not be surprised. A Yale prof got in trouble for advising that Kavanaugh preferred clerk candidates who looked like models, but... then again, he chose her daughter as a clerk in his first term on SCOTUS.
