Republicans are anti-soldier, anti-cop, and anti-family.

Republicans are pro-fascist and really want to get away with being the most terrible people they can imagine themselves being.

I think Brad Pitt should think about running for President. He was born in Oklahoma, and he has done good things such as helping the people in Louisiana after Hurricane Katrina. Brad is a good business man, and he has a good reputation. Actors make good Presidents.

And Brad Pitt can beat Donald Trump on the star scale. Brad is a way bigger star than Trump.

He is not even within an order of maganitude in the GOP and he is invisible politically to the Dems.

Yes, Brad Pitt is a Democrat like John F. Kennedy.

I read The Atlantic piece on Biden not running.  Mostly agree, because I like Joe and because I think he would do better focused entirely on his duties and not the challenges of campaigning for a future gig he would have until age 86.  My impression is that Joe is only saying second term to say he has a strong stake in his longterm policy goals.  I doubt he will actually run, and standing aside to give young blood a shot is certainly something Joe could do graciously.

I agreed wholeheartedly with the point about mandatory age ceilings, and the comparison to ATC workers and airline pilots.

(Quote) The majority of Americans say they would favor a maximum age for their elected officials too. Of those Americans, about two-thirds think the limit should be 70 or younger. This would send nearly 30 percent of the United States Senate out to pasture....(end)

Given the considerable variation in vitality we see in 70 somethings, I might put the ceiling a bit higher.

So you agree the dems are blind.

Sleepy Joe got testy today when asked about 8.6 per cent inflation in the USA( Worst in 40 years)

If it is my fault, why is it the case in every other major industrial country in the world that inflation is higher? You ask yourself that?
I am not being a wise guy.

He his either dumb or just blowing smoke.

The latest figures on inflation indicate the following
Germany at 7.9%, France at 5.2%, Japan at 2.5%, India at 7.04%, Canada and Italy at 6.8%, and Saudi Arabia at 2.2%.

There is a minor but important technical difference there. You tend to feel it on your face.

I dont think Mr. Pitt has enough of a political background. Most are very wary after the last entertainer. Delusional and narcissistic is not what you want.

So surprised to hear that Senator Cornyn has left the negotiations.

Even the feeble set of changes that the Dems agreed to were too strong for the GOP to agree to.

BAE, GOP.  Feign bipartisan openness, then back out when anything is on the table that might bring real progress.  If this bill dies, Dems in competitive Congressional races should runs ads that include the GOPs culpability in killing negotiation.  They should hammer the point home in debates, media interviews, etc.
