So surprised to hear that Senator Cornyn has left the negotiations.

Even the feeble set of changes that the Dems agreed to were too strong for the GOP to agree to.

Dems try to inject some  stuff at last minute

Typical

Bullshit.

Nothing was added at the last minute. The GOP tried to change the red flag portion to "we'll give you the money, anyway, even if you don't enact red flag legislation." They also wanted to quibble on the definition of "long term relationship."

Promotes bigamy?  I missed that one.

Did Walker support any of the mothers of his extensive brood? I imagine him supporting separate families concurrently, but that may be giving him too much credit.

Quote
Marveling at how well preserved the archaic opinions are, a team of archaeologists from the Smithsonian Institution announced Thursday the discovery of a fully intact 17th-century belief system in East Texas. "It's just extraordinary to come across a perspective, by studying the recent human activity of US Congressman Louie Gohmert (R-TX) and State Senator Bryan Hughes (TX-R), that dates back to the the mid-1600s and shows absolutely no signs of decay," said anthropologists,  explaining that while it's not uncommon to encounter partial remains of convictions from that era, it's exceedingly rare to recover a specimen this pristine. "All the 400-year-old viewpoints remain almost completely untouched, from religion's place in society to the rights of women to their make-believe attitudes toward science. The study can only imagine the insights these current samples will provide as to how people who lived centuries ago saw the world around them", adding, however, that the Legislators' belief system is fragile even in near-perfect condition and could deteriorate rapidly if examined too closely.

While supporting all of those families would have been big of him if had done so which he did not, it is not bigamy, which requires being legally married to more than one person at a time. He is a Hypocrite and an absent father, but not a bigamist.

Both reasonable arguments. If you are paying attention.

Walker has not done nearly as much damage to the American family as this guy,

From Fac's link

DeSantis office pushed back on the issue and said it is a nationwide problem that must be addressed at the federal level.

My irony meter just started smoking and spitting bits of melted circuit board.

And Mississippi, Alabama, and Louisiana lead all other states in their percentages of children without a father in the home.   Hmm.  Let's see if we can think of some political and public policy features those states have in common.
