Shockingly enough, the Secret Service failed to come through with the text messages.

https://www.cnn.com/2022/07/19/politics/secret-service-texts-national-archives/index.html

Apparently, agents were told twice to back up their messages manually and told, also, how to do it. Yet some agents went ahead and deleted them, anyway, without backups.

Nothing suspicious about that, at all. Nope.

Constitutionally protected speech

This time, but not last time.

And regardless, the point stands. It'\s advertising.
Then ignore it

Anyone who has studied group pressure knew it.

And I am confident that all nine members of SCOTUS knew it, too.

The USC House passed a bill that would provide protection for same-sex and interracial marriage under federal law.
Which frat.would that be? And USC only? Not even Cal Berkley?
Quote
The Respect for Marriage Act vote was 267-157. Democratic lawmakers say the recent Supreme Court ruling ending abortion rights could endanger other rights not enumerated in the Constitution but that the court has recognized in recent decades. The Democrats are seen as the underdogs in November midterm elections in the House, and they have been rolling out a series of votes related to hot button social issues.

The legislation is pointless except for scoring political points
Noteworthy though is the line

You wonder if any democrat actually has read the Constitution or any of Clarence Thomas opinions on that very subject.
Of course not.
Of course they have. It is Thomas opinion that motivated them.

The NY DA finally drops murder charges against a Bodega owner who stabbed to death a man trying to kill him three weeks ago.

Video of the stabbing was available immediately, later from several different angles. (July 1)
The store owner was whisked off to Rikers Island despite having suffered ugly knife wounds and booked under a half million dollar bail.

In the intervening days when everyone who saw the video( Thanks to the New York Post and Fox News) knew the poor man in jail was wrongly accused. Where was NY Congress person AOC, NY Senator Chuck Schumer, the New York Times, or any other democrat from NYC?
Where was GO FUND ME ?(bail was subsequently reduced by a judge who has a brain)
Instead it took weeks for Bodega Owners and regular New Yorker  to raise awareness to the blatant  racism against the poor white Bodega owner.

Pretty sad.

You would have to be pretty stupid to read Thomas opinion, and hear speeches by Alito, and not be concerned ed for marriage equality. You Comically Transparent Partisan Hack.

Alito made no speeches or you would have cited them.
What he said was in his Dobbs majority opinion.
Rights not explicitly protected by the Constitution are  now in the hands of state legislatures and will rely much more heavily in the future on local democracy. Social movements, campaigns and elections, all at the state level, will become the main battleground of American rights.
Dobbs rejects substantive due process in creating rights by judges.
Thomas wants to review some previous rulings to bring them into line with Dobbs.
No one else on the Court thinks that step is necessary.

No one but you thinks Thomas is alone in that opinion. We have an activist movement conservative Court and there is no reason why having taken an axe to Roe, with all of its prior rejected challenges and social order built around it, they would not do the same to Gay marriage. "Social movements, campaigns and elections, all at the state level, will become the main battleground of American rights" is directly applicable to marriage equality.

Rowe is a piece of lying scum. We already have evidence of more messages sent or received by one of those 24 individual employees.

Quote
The Secret Service wrote in the letter that it was still working to determine if any relevant information was lost in the phone migration but said it was "currently unaware of text messages issued by Secret Service employees" that were requested by the inspector general "that were not retained."

"The Secret Service continues to engage in extensive efforts to further assess whether any relevant text messages sent or received by 24 individuals identified by the DHS OIG were lost due to the Intune migration and, if so, whether such texts are recoverable," Rowe wrote. "These efforts include the pulling of any available metadata to determine what, if any, texts were sent or received on the devices of the identified individuals."
