Now that a special council has been appointed to handle matters presidential and post-presidential in the crime swamp, and congress is finalizing its criminal referrals along with the transfer of evidence to that office, we can focus on moving the country forward and blunting the assaults of all enemies foreign and domestic.

Trump has promised a new "platform of national greatness and glory" centred on;

1. . ending America's reliance on China,
2  . introducing the death penalty for drug dealers,
3  . bolstering border security,
4  . eliminating homelessness and
5  . planting the US flag on Mars.

#####

1. good
3. good
4. good
5. good ... maybe the money could be spent better.

2.  very, very bad

Note to Bambi:  your opinions from 8,000 miles away as a foreigner on US politics
carry as much weight as a fart here does there.

Knowledge like charity begins at home,  you are totally ignorant of your own country.
Wise up.

I know all I need to know about my own country and am gradually learning about yours.
No you don't and no you aren't.

Surely you realise that "death chambers for drug dealers" is you, when law enforcement produces a bag of drugs, some scales and little bags from the trunk of your car at a traffic stop etc.
You didn't put them there? Then that is bad luck for you...they were there, video evidence, and off you, the convicted drug dealer, go to the special prison for extermination.
No way I'd be supporting that law.

Once a jolly swagman sat beside a billabong
Growing bored, he dipped his willy in his tea
And he sang as he sat and waited while his willy boiled,
"Crotch rot you'll never more trouble me!"

Washing my dilda, washing my dilda...

And now back to my regularly scheduled post...

https://www.npr.org/2022/11/17/1137413251/twitter-employees-quit-elon-musk

A massive caprine group sex event unfolds.  I hope the FTC and the Euro regulators tear Musk to pieces.

The jolly swagman was in 1895, great shearer's strike, nearly civil war in the colony (before federation in 1901), striking shearers firing their rifles and pistols into the air, could carry guns in those days.
Swagman stole a sheep to eat. Farmer and cops grabbed him, he committed suicide rather than be persecuted.

Lots of billabong campers today, no need to steal food...welfare money or wages etc are enough for food.
Today's billabong campers 'waltz matilda' in diesel, dual cab utes with fancy canopies and towing caravans, camper trailers etc with solar power, air-conditioning, showers, microwaves, washing machines fridges, etc.
All the comforts of home.
Sit around the camp fire drinking and eating good meals.
Poor swagman had nothing, no money, no hope.

I can see why Banjo Paterson was inspired to write the song.

I read this bit with interest:

...In February 2010, ABC News reported an investigation by barrister Trevor Monti that the death of Hoffmeister was more akin to a gangland assassination than to suicide. The same report asserts (quote) Writer Matthew Richardson says the song was most likely written as a carefully worded political allegory to record and comment on the events of the shearers strike.

As for billabong camping, or any other camping, I never warmed to the idea of all the comforts of home.  To me, camping is to experience something different, somewhat roughing it, in a tent.  Or, if it's dry and no mosquitoes, under the stars in a sleeping bag.  Hopefully unmolested by jumbucks.

bambu camping by a billabong or anywhere else by choice?
...never in a million years.
Towing a caravan anywhere?
...never in 2 million years.
Owning a diesel vehicle?
Never...that clanging noise they make is too much to put up with.
A nice quiet electric vehicle...much better.
bambu in a sleeping bag on fhe ground amongst the spiders, snakes, bugs, ...or in a tent?
(Add bears and big cats in America.)
Not ever. That is only for tough outdoors guys and gals to do.
It was/is the indoors with aircon and screened windows/doors of hotels and motels, and day trips from them for me.
I'm not a mechanic, engineer, plumber, handyman, locksmith etc, so I only drive a car (towing nothing) within cell phone range of rescue by my gold auto club/AAA membership.
Think of me as a "helpless man in a nice suit".

I wish I knew that trick Josh uses

Big pay wall ahead, but the URL give one a good idea,

It will be pretty wide open on the right once the top two have had their implode.

When do right wingers not embezzle in their border stunts?

UN Climate Change Compensation
Fund established at COP27.
Now "wealthy countries"...that's USA...must pay billions of your tax dollars to this fund.
Trump told the UN "NO".
China paying anything?
Oh that's right, China is classed as a "developing country"...LOL

From Election By The Numbers by Jeffrey H. Anderson for City Journal, Nov. 18:

According to exit polling: 32 percent of voters said that they cast their House vote to OPPOSE President Joe Biden, while 28 percent said they cast their House vote to OPPOSE former President Donald Trump.

In other words, for every eight votes cast against Biden, all but one were negated by a vote cast against Trump.

Yet voter suppression and gerrymandering in fascist states still allowed the vaginaphobic faction to eke out a house majority that will last only as long as it takes law enforcement to thin their fraudulent treacherous ranks.

A friend had his car broken into while he was doing a DRs. appointment in what was considered a safe neighborhood. Crime is a big issue.

De nada.  I gather that reporters at the Miami Herald never run short of muck to rake.  IIRC the writer Carl Hiaasen said something along that line - that working at the Herald always supplied him with fresh material for his crime novels.
