And we need to build more nice housing for seniors like "Leisure World" in Laguna Beach, where the seniors drink champagne by the swimming pool while they eat strawberries, and they ride horses on the beach at night, etc.

I assume you know that places like that aren't public housing.  They're extraordinarily expensive.

After the "Christchurch massacre" at those mosques in New Zealand not so long ago, the NZ govt did what it should've done decades before when Australia did it...banned auto and semi auto weapons.
The Christchurch shooter (Australian) bought all the guns, magazines and ammunition legally in NZ.
Hunters in NZ were outraged about the ban.

NZ Prime Minister Ms Ardern stood firm.
Those guns...all gone...bye bye, never to be seen again.
