Late addition

Porcello at a cool TEN

Mets are loaded.

Brody talking of dealing good guy Nimmo.  I'd be careful.

I like the whitening of the club of late.  Its about time.

That's gonna be a killer division next season. Gonna go with Phillies for now despite bullpen issues.

What age were you folks when you started collecting baseball cards?

What age when you stopped?

Do you still have them or did you or parents toss them or did you manage to sell them or pass them along to another generation?

These questions prompted by the process of getting rid of stuff.

As best as I can remember I started around age 6-7, (1957/58) and collected cards until around 1968. I had several shoe boxes of from that 10+ year period, and probably a few thousand cards. I still have about 500 cards circa 1967-68 that escaped my mom's (RIP mom) need to spring-clean. Long ago she insisted a cleaning lady snagged my collection. My best/most valuable card is a 1941 "Play Ball" Ted Williams card that was given to me by my now an ex-brother-in-law.

While renovating an old home he found a lot of old cards and newspapers used as insolation. He kept the TW card as he remembered I was a Sox fan,

He threw away the others.

Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming "Wow! What a Ride! HST.

Or Cora? MLB will wait until after they finish with the blatant cheating of the Red Sox, but reports have him on the hook for something substantial.

Astro's set the bar on managerial discipline.

Depending on the unreleased MLB findings Sox will probably fire Cora.

Good thing they already fired Dombrowski.

And Beltran will skate.
