there was nothhing personnel-I agreed with the poster who characterized your opinion as a "dumfukk" take,
and nothing you've posted since would change my mind.
btw with your recent name change you may be Elba's first 5-troll poster
or now that I start recalling them, it might be 6, 7 or 8
heh
You seem to be under a lot of stress. Hope you get the help you need. Tough time of year for those dealing with depression.
Good luck.
Oh, and get a spell check app. Might help you be better understood by others.
The topic under discussion was the best player you had seen personally. I took that to mean actually being in the ballpark watching them play.
I and others mentioned several players we individually thought answered the question.
Yaz was the last name I offered, and I gave reasons why he belonged in the discussion, mostly becasue he was the best player in baseball as measured by WAR in the '67-70 period. But i could have gone with multiple batting titles (3) or OPS leader (4), GG (7), or AS appearances (18). And i had seen him and a few others personally, so he seemed like a good name to mention.
You're obssession with anti-Boston then led you to an idiotic argument about WS success diminshing Yaz as a player. and had little to do with the discussion at hand.
And it was contested by me and others.
And other than finding a few last minute stocking stuffers, stress seems under control.
I hope you enjoy "Baseball for Dummies" I found for you. It should help you understand the game.
Happy Holidays
and not that it makes a whole lot of difference, I don't know where you're getting your stats, but Yaz's WAR in '67 was 12.5, and Morgan's was 11.0 in '75.
And Yaz's 12.5 in '67 was the highest WAR since Babe Ruth's WAR in 1921 and 1923.
Yaz was that good in '67.
