In 22016, Hillary Clinton tweeted excerpts from Kurt Eichenwald's piece in Newsweek:

He nailed it. Nor just this one, but this one is on target today.

Red doesn’t want to hear that. He’s pretending he got a tax cut.

As usual, the GOP offers nothing but red ink and spilt blood all to no good end.

It’s passed time to get rid of the republican party.

Another high crime:

It’s like the Monty Python skit. So many Impeachable offenses just sliding out of Trump, he doesn’t even pause when one comes out while doing the dishes. “Oh just pick it up and find space for it in the corner, would you Audrey?”

LOST IN TRANSLATION

They WERE fighting for their land.

Different meaning.  When fighting ISIS, they were fighting for their land.

True.

They helped us - but what was the alternative?

Didn't we pay them as well?

They weren't fighting on our side out of the goodness of their hearts, so fuck them.

You Trumpists truly are a deplorable group of assholes.

"News from Syria is sickening," Rep. Liz Cheney of Wyoming, the third-ranking Republican in the House, tweeted Wednesday, echoing lawmakers across the spectrum. "Turkish troops preparing to invade Syria from the north, Russian-backed forces from the south, ISIS fighters attacking Raqqa. Impossible to understand why @realDonaldTrump is leaving America's allies to be slaughtered and enabling the return of ISIS."

kiidcarter8 has your answer, Liz.  See, it wasn't true love.  They were only in it for the money.

So, just to be clear - you are saying the US was to stop Turkey's movements with DIPLOMACY - simply by keeping troops at status quo?

Yes, a combination of diplomacy and facts on the ground.  Turkey would not be attacking if US troops were in the way.  And if it took more troops to act as a deterrent and to implement a safe zone compromise, it would have been well worth it compared to what we are seeing now.

If your best defense of Trump’s actions is that the President of the United States needs to cede to the wishes of fucking Turkey (Turkey!) then you have no defense.

Two business associates of Trump’s personal lawyer Rudolph W. Giuliani have been arrested and are in custody

The two men, who helped Giuliani investigate former vice president Joe Biden, were charged with campaign finance violations, according to a person familiar with the charges.

You're conveniently forgetting that Trump had a conversation with Turkey in which "he was rolled" and "he has no spine."

He removed those men because Turkey told him to.

Granted.we have traditionally played Lucy to the Kurds' Charlie Brown, but what Trump has done is beyond the pale. Despicable and deplorable treatment of a group who carried the brunt of our fight against ISIS for us.
