Sure. But the Wall won't help - that is not how they are getting in, just as it has a minimal impact on the drug flow or the human trafficking.
You think NONE of it has been prevented - or just not enough to justify the cost and the appearance of US as unwelcoming? I think it needs further study by you.
The wall has little to do with separating immigrant families so what is it about the wall that pisses you off so much? Would you be less pissed under a different president?
Any president that tried to put the wall up across the entire border would piss me off, but
this president lied about it from the start.
Reasons that it pisses me off, in no particular order other than thought:
1) Mexico was never going to pay for it.
2) The thoughtless trampling of the lives and properties of the people along the border.
3) The destruction of the environment.
4) That includes some areas that are (were) home to endangered species.
5) The destruction of private property before permissions were obtained (or even begun to be obtained in some cases).
6) The failure to understand what was being done well enough such that some areas of the wall are going to have to be open for months at a time or the destruction will be that much greater.
7) Not an initial thing that pisses me off, but which pisses me off
now, as it has become clear that the work is being done in a shoddy fashion.
The lies told about both illegal immigration and drugs that were used to fire up the masses, even though the Wall was never going to seriously impact either problem.
9) With (
, therefore, the failure of the administration (and the GOP) to do serious work on immigration reform,
10) Or drug policy reform, with the ongoing conflicts between federal and state policies, among other things.
Other than that, nothing in particular.
