Rudy Giuliani, at a meeting with ~75 Trump supporters, told the audience that "people don't die of this anymore."

In other words, the Trump inner circle has learned the exact wrong lesson from Trump, Christie, other WH personnel and GOP senators getting infected.

If you have ready access to testing and can get quick results, and your early diagnosis allows you to be treated with experimental anti-virus drugs very early on, then your chance of survival is quite good.  Even fatsos like Trump and Christie usually rebound with such top medical attention.

The reality is most ordinary people will not be tested right away (the contact tracing in the US is pretty limited and mostly inept).  They will develop symptoms and build up a significant viral load before they get tested, their test results might take days or a week or more.  And then access to remdesivir or regeneron or other such treatments is not likely.  Meaning most folks will suffer through flu-like symptoms on their own, while some of them will get worse and need to be hospitalized and some of those will die.

The kind of care Trump got is almost certainly exceptional and far from the norm.  not even to get into that this was probably one strain passed on by Hope Hicks, and could easily have been a less potent or slower replicating variety.

Of course, Rudy like Trump is just bullshitting in the run up to the election.  But if that's the Trump Admin takeaway, it's misguided and dangerous and pathetic.

But since you're not here to debate or argue, why bother?

Trump again trends up

https://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/trump_administration/trump_approval_index_history

And now back down again.

Kid, don't you get it? You're being had.

I think there is a +/- 3 points you have to build in there

Thus the -6 from Monday would be -3 to -9 and today's would be -5 to -11.

Similar.

"I think" is a gross overstatement.

I've pointed out multiple times when their shift from one day to the next has exceeded the +/- of their claimed margin of error.

But more to the point, Kid, there is no long term consistency to their results other than a steady roller coaster effect. Either their respondents are the most fickle people in America or they are making up their numbers. Otherwise you would have seen vacillation like that in other such polls.

You think they call the same people every day?  What's wrong with you?

What "other polls" do you speak of?

You know Rasmussen's numbers I link to are strong approve vs strong disapprove, right - not election polling.

No, I don't think they call anyone.

Rasmussen used to be one of two folks doing daily presidential approvals (hence why I used past tense) - but they were the only one who got this kind of "result." Gallup got out of the business.

No, the numbers you give are not the "strong approve vs. strong disapprove" items from Rasmussen. They are the total approve vs. disapprove numbers.

And you want to know what's wrong with ME?! You don't even know what the fuck you are posting!

You gave us -1 when the Strong Approve/Disapprove number was -6, for example.

When it changes by 5 points in a day, that's a bit much. But when it changes by NINE from one day to the next, there is something wrong with what they are doing, when you consider that these are THREE DAY figures, not one day figures. That represented a change of at least 105 out of 500 people on the third day (21%). Far outside the margin of error.

INCORRECT

You are getting into Bodiddley territory with your need to disagree.

Current "total approve" for Trump, per Rasmussen, is 48%.  Was 49% yesterday.

Democrats in the Barrett hearing continue to state untruths - that so many will have ZERO access to proper healthcare and will thus die without their medications should the November 10 hearing not go their way.

Ms Barrett corrected them early on - but the members yet to speak have ignored the explanation.

God, you are a fool. I don't give a fuck about disagree.

You stated yesterday that Trump was at -1. That was total agree minus total disagree. It was not the strong agree minus strong disagree.

Strongly Approve is the 3rd column. Strongly Disapprove is the 4th column. Subtract the 4th from the 3rd and you get -6 yesterday, not -1, the number you gave us.

Uh... how did your Mets and Sox do this year? Hope that extra two week off helped with their short game.

I understand they didnt make it very far - but didnt watch much this year.  A buddy of mine had said Mets were alive the last week.  I guess that means we were mediocre or worse.
I expected very little from Boston after their maneuvers.  But there is enough there to build with.  Need to add arms - though my guess is Sox will do things more gradually - thus not get an ace/bullpen ace right away.

You stated yesterday that Trump was at -1. That was total agree minus total disagree. It was not the strong agree minus strong disagree.

I did not.  I linked to a chart.

The chart I posted did show the 49-50 (I think) overall, as it always does.  But I have never used thoose numbers when talking trends.

The chart of course also showed the -6 total approve vs disapprove, which is what I commented on ("trending up" - see my prior posts before about -15, -14, -12, etc)

I posted later that Trump had 49% approval vs the 42% polling, yes - also what the chart showed.  This was to show Trump voters do not wish to admit to it, oft times.  Same tune I have had all along

Be good.

Klobuchar did a nice job.

Sasse submits letter from Princeton scholar rebutting Harris's speech of yesterday regarding the history of SC vacancies.

Can't wait to hear Ms Harris, who won't be able to stay quiet on the matter.
