When Rep. Cheney came out for impeachment today, she failed to consult with the Conference, failed to abide by the spirit of the rules of the Republican Conference, and ignored the preferences of Republican voters," read a terse statement issued by Montana Rep. Matt Rosendale.

The freshman Republican charged that Cheney, No. 3 in the House GOP hierarchy, "is weakening our conference at a key moment for personal political gain and is unfit to lead."

"She must step down as Conference Chair," the Montanan concluded.

House observers believe that Rosendale was speaking for his roughly 40 fellow House Republican freshmen, most of whom are strongly pro-Trump.

I don't agree much with Ms Cheney, but she nailed Trump's role in this blood-stained act of sedition. And she was brave to speak out and break from the majority of her caucus. History will likely remember her kindly as a voice for the rule of law and accountibility.

In a year or two, when all the crimes of Trump are exposed and witnesses and evidence uncovered, from treason to obstruction of justice, to tax fraud, to well-paid hookers and unpaid parking tickets, that kid will post he was always a never-Trumper.

And when the investigations of  this attack on our democracy are completed, I suspect there will be more than a handful of House Repubs found to be co-conspirators, and traitors.

Whoa!  Bombshell accustation.

Needs more details.   What led her to believe these were reconnaissance tours?

I am told that Rep. Boebert was photographed leading a group of the insurrectionists into off-limits areas in the days before.

I have not yet verified that through a 2nd source.

Kushner the voice of reason til the end

Trump's son-in-law and senior adviser Jared Kushner intervened when other officials tried restoring the President's social media presence on sites that are often havens for extremists, such as Gab, following an unprecedented ban from several major platforms.
According to an outside adviser and an administration official, Kushner and deputy chief of staff Dan Scavino blocked efforts by other aides, including personnel chief Johnny McEntee, to get the President on fringe social media platforms...

Burying Cheney on this site takes on new meaning

https://www.foxnews.com/politics/jordan-cheney-should-be-removed-house-gop-conference-chair

Fox News obtained a petition circulating in the House, calling for a "special meeting" of the Republican Conference "to discuss a resolution on your leadership."

The topic of the resolution is: "Calling on Congresswoman Liz Cheney to resign her position as Chair of the Republican Conference."

The petition states: "Whereas, Congresswoman Cheney's condemnation of President Trump and her support for President Trump's impeachment have been used multiple times by Democrats as justification for a truncated impeachment process that denies the president due process."

And now the truth is revealed?
What is really going on in the world today?

Daily Telegraph:
13 January 2021

Opinion:

"Opinion"

Not truth.

Learn to tell the difference.

Opinion pieces can, and often do, speak the truth.

That piece I posted earlier by James Morrow, continues;

Take the case of Michael Beller.

A now-former lawyer for America’s Public Broadcasting Service was caught on tape suggesting that the children of Trump voters be sent to … wait for it … “Enlightenment Camps”.
“We go for all the Republican voters and Homeland Security will take their children away,” he was heard telling a journalist for Project Veritas.

“Kids who are growing up, knowing nothing but Trump for four years, you’ve got to wonder what (they’re) going to be like. They’ll be raising a generation of intolerant, horrible people — horrible kids.”
To stop this, said Beller, they should be sent to “re-education” or “enlightenment camps”.

Beller added that if Trump won (the just-released recording was made before the election), true patriots should “go to the White House and throw Molotov cocktails”.
And, naturally, he also celebrated coronavirus taking out Trump supporters.

He’s not alone.

There are plenty on the Left who share similar sentiments which, in just about any other context, would be appallingly sinister.
The American ABC’s Rick Klein last week tweeted about “cleansing” Trump supporters (he deleted the tweet, and an online article where he’d written the same thing was later stealth-edited so that it now reads “clean up”).

And it is a bit much for the same Democrats who acted as cheerleaders for last year’s riots across the US, and who nodded sagely while statues of America’s founders were pulled down like so many effigies of Lenin or Saddam Hussein, to suddenly start talking about respect for the country’s institutions.

"Whereas, Congresswoman Cheney's condemnation of President Trump and her support for President Trump's impeachment are evidence of her putting country ahead of the Republican Party, we members of the House GOP membership call for her removal from a position of leadership."

https://news.yahoo.com/stop-steal-organizer-says-several-015900814.html

The Stop the Steal organizer claims to have had help from GOP congressmen Paul Gosar and Andy Biggs of Arizona, and congressman Mo Brooks of Alabama in planning of the Jan. 6 catastrophe.

Do you believe him?!
