No evidence that the talks are doing anything major, but as one person put it, no fist fights have broken out, either.
We need to send them the good stuff, good healthy organic food, good California cheese, and California wine, and prime beef from Nevada, etc. As we expand trade with China it is upsetting that they are trying to sell them bad stuff like genetically modified seeds, etc. Let us expand trade, and we have good wholesome food and wine from California that we can send to the Chinese.
Oregon has good frozen and canned vegetables. Wisconsin sells great cheese. Idaho grows great potatoes. We can send the Chinese the good stuff, and they will be happy and they will buy more American products.
They can also buy Chevy Camaros, and Jeeps, and Ford pick-up trucks, etc. And Harley Davidson motorcycles.
There are many products that we can export to China.
And we need copyright protection on our films and music, and we need patent protection on our inventions, etc, etc, etc.
Also, they need to pay their workers fair, and they need to treat their workers better, and we need to have a punishment for them if they sell artificially low-priced goods because of the use of artificially low-priced slave labor.
And we need to support labor unions in China which are independent of their government.
Those are some of my thoughts on that.
And the talks on the issue of trade need to last for more than two days, we need to discuss the whole kit and caboodle. There is a lot to discuss.
California lost over five hundred thousand jobs to China alone. There is a lot to discuss.
Salute,
