---Why Starbucks' Howard Schultz might have a shot at the White House---

https://www.cnn.com/2019/01/23/opinions/why-starbucks-schultz-might-have-a-shot-wierson-hillsman/index.html

Nice but an independent, at least not a polarizing liberal elitist. Looks like Joe Biden may be dragged out again?

Schultz is selling a book.

Still quite frightening for the Dems
Not really. He will never poll above 3 and be out of it by October.
Just the knee- jerk talking points of the dems today is priceless.
No substance, as usual. Behave as expected.

Dems need to nominate a candidate that won't drive skittish Independents into the arms of Schultz.
Gee.  Why would they be skittish?  Won’t they just lap up the idea of a 70% marginal tax rate, or a wealth tax, or a Green New Deal or turning over their rights to the central Government?

Schultz is against universal healthcare and that was the winning message in the midterms. He’s gonna get an earful on his book tour and quit before the first primary.

Only for the chattering class of the punditry.

He is today’s bright shining object...

Why on Earth would Bolton carry such a thing where it can be seen?

Why on Earth would we do it?!

But... there was a time when our press would not have published/publicized such a thing and there were good things about that approach, not only bad ones.

Why Howard Schultz( a democrat) will run as an Independent and why democrats are livid.:

It concerns me that so many voices within the Democratic Party are going so far to the left. I say to myself, 'How are we going to pay for these things,' in terms of things like single payer (and) people espousing the fact that the government is going to give everyone a job.
I don't think that's realistic. I think we got to get away from these falsehoods and start talking about the truth and not false promises.
(T)he greatest threat domestically to the country is this $21 trillion debt hanging over the cloud of America and future generations. The only way we're going to get out of that is we've got to grow the economy, in my view, 4% or greater. And then we have to go after entitlements.

And then there is Nathan Phillips.

He’ll run as an independent because he has no idea what the fuck he is trying to do...
