Dems need to nominate a candidate that won't drive skittish Independents into the arms of Schultz.  IOW, as Bo suggests, someone who can transmit a high signal-to-noise ratio on what makes sound economic policy and where we have been historically.  (I second the "good post," Bo)

Warren’s economic policies are very sound and contrary to RSW’s bullshit are not unconstitutional.

She frightens the Conservatives because her message will resonate with average folks. The whole Pocahontas “controversy” will have legs only if the media falls prey to the shiny object strategy.

The Pocahontas "controversy" got Warren herself to respond.  She's going to have to do a lot better in not taking such bait.

Nice but an independent, at least not a polarizing liberal elitist. Looks like Joe Biden may be dragged out again?

Timing is everything. She addressed it, maybe in what media considered a hamfisted way, but there is literally no controversy anymore. She never claimed a tribe but she does have the wee bit of genetic material to back up her old “family lore.”

Obama tried to not “take the bait” and Trump rode that shit for six years into the fucking White House.

Who can now legitimately play the “Pocahontas” card? Last guy who tried in a campaign was Scott Brown and he got dusted.

No, not the last guy.

You missed the Massachusetts race for Warren's seat this year, with this fellow driving all over with a huge billboard behind his vehicle that said
"It takes a real Indian to beat a fake Indian!"

Gee.  Why would they be skittish?  Won’t they just lap up the idea of a 70% marginal tax rate, or a wealth tax, or a Green New Deal or turning over their rights to the central Government?

Well, now, Schultz's time at Northern Michigan overlapped with that of the single greatest coach in the history of NCAA basketball, so there is that.

Not really. He will never poll above 3 and be out of it by October.
