Not here to debate?   In that case,  I won't debate Kid and will just dismiss his comments as absolute horseshit.

Speaking of horseshit, courts look at an Ohio abortion ban that the admin claims isn't really an abortion ban.   See if you can follow the pretzel logic,  folks...

I've met a few centrist folks who voted Trump, thinking we needed a shake-up and that a businessman would be good for the economy.  But then they were somewhat horrified when Trump continued being Trump and never switched to that so presidential mode he referenced.  Biden looks to tap into those who want a president to act dignified, be prepared, keep things functioning normally.  Could be a fair amount of suburban voters uncomfortable with Trump's reality presidency, and the chaos he engenders.

Kid gives nice bulletins on the RT news feed.

Katrinavirus has infected the whole GOP and defines its priorities and governing principles.

That is why the pied piper of midwestern HIV has been push forward to coordinate the response to COVID-19.

The markets seem to have accepted the Katrinavirus diagnosis.

re: katrinavirus botching

It's still early, but the early performance hasn't been good, and will look worse when/if things get much worse.

GSW v. Nets game to be held without fans.  Due to viral concerns.

The stock market is in the tank big time.
Outbreaks are popping up all over, and any state might be the next Italy.

The Trump Admin started off well with a tough travel ban form China.  But then they wasted the breathing room they bought, and didn't get preparations under way.  A mask shortage!  Really?  Congress had to more than triple the budget request Trump asked for.  All that minimizing the dangers is going to look bad if the virus spreads far and wide and tens of thousands of Americans die.

The katronavirus is already looking bad for Trump on many levels, but if infections spread widely, and lockdowns are necessary and millions of lives disrupted significantly, well the Katrina/Bush comparisons will be seriously underselling things.

The Trump Admin started off well with a tough travel ban form China.

...a week after the first case was reported already in the US.  And at the same time the administration, against the advice of the CDC, was bringing in flights of quarantined Americans from China, and having them greeted by health workers who weren't wearing protective gear.

Outside of the actual responses and well documented failures and misplaced priorities, there is also the problem of having a “president” who has spent 3 and a half years on the job shitting on his own credibility by telling literally tens of thousands of lies.

Before it becomes a matter of life and death it’s all fun and games.  Even his supporters who laugh at the CNN fact checks, and dismiss the lies as not the point, internalize the fact that Trump can’t be trusted.  They don’t care.  Until it matters.

The man says everything is going to be ok, trust me, and the next day the stock market tanks.  He says there will be zero cases in the US in a few days, now we have over 1,000.  He actively spreads disinformation, and while literally no one believes him, it adds to the atmosphere of disinformation and fear.  A leader can’t lead when he can’t be trusted.

That isn’t a specific misstep.  But it is 100% a problem Trump is responsible for.

---President Donald Trump, in a meeting with Republican lawmakers Tuesday on Capitol Hill, pitched a 0% payroll tax rate for employers and employees that would last through the rest of this year, a White House official told CNBC.

There was also discussion of making the payroll tax rollback permanent, said the official, who declined to be named. Payroll taxes are used to fund Medicare and Social Security. When asked about the potential cost of a payroll tax cut, the official pushed back and asked why there is always a focus on the cost of tax cuts.---

I think folks are mistaken when they think "being Presidential" is a big tide turner.  People vote their reality.  If a BETTER GUY is representing us internationally, so what?  Doesn't get results.

Dude - no.  Talk of permanency of the cut is just something you heard.  Don't conclude anything from it

You need to be careful on a  forum like this.  They will take that and run with it as if it was verbatim from Trump..

I have challenged you on facts and evidence,  and pointed to different conclusions that might be drawn from them.   That's what debate consists of.   It's something people do at political message boards AFAICT.   And it works when everyone agrees determining the relevant facts is more important than being personally right and scoring partisan  points.

Haven't fact-checked this - but informative.  No - I don't believe the hearsay that Trump recommended a permanent cut.  Though something within reason (less than the 3% floated) might not be a bad idea.

Being “Presidential” matters if you want the office to have credibility and the trust of Americans and our allies.

If you don’t think credibility and trust is important in a President, particularly in a global scale emergency, well…I’m sure there is an episode or two of West Wing that can set you straight on that.

And I'd ask you again what "results" you think we are getting from having an unpresidential idiot with no credibility in the office, but yeah, you aren't here to debate.

Its something he read reported by a credible media outlet.  And he included a link to the article.

By all means, question what you read.  From anyone.  But the skepticism on the news that Trump would increase the deficit to save his hide in the 2020 elections?  Yeah, he would never do that!

Life imitates Hollywood.

The God-damned plane has crashed into the Mountain!

Comment from unidentified Bernie Sanders aid as his candidate lost even more ground to Joe Biden.

Sanders lackluster effort these past few weeks while the democrat establishment has staged an all-out effort against his campaign leaves many wondering if Sanders’ partisans will turnout on Election Day.
