Fucking April and there's still no plan.
Just a bunch of patchwork, disorganized measures.

Did you get the word, masks are VOLUNTARY folks.
And Trump's not gonna mask up.
(hint for Trump: he's not going to meet leaders and kings and dictators because they are going to come to a country undergoing a huge outbreak and poor response)

The hospital ship off NYC is now going to accept coronavirus patients, but first you need to move the 20+ non-virus patients somewhere and then set up whatever intake and transfer procedures.  So just a week or 10 days wasted, before the 1000 bed hospital ship starts actually being useful.  You'd think time wasn't important the way all this crap has been handled.  How long till the med ship is half full? is full?  We'll see.  But the wasted initial time is embarrassing and detrimental.

Leaving it up to the states to handle is such a terrible strategy.  So they compete for supplies, get thwarted by weaker measures of a bordering state, can't print money, have limited emergency powers compared to the feds, etc.

The US has done the worst with the virus of any major country.  Probably the worst overall so far, but it's going to get real ugly when the virus rips through Nigeria or Bangladesh or other poor crowded countries.
