Another positive moment in all this ugly was ex-NBA player Stephen Jackson, a friend of George Floyd's, carrying Floyd's young daughter on his shoulders with both of them taking turns repeating Daddy Changed the World!

Real sweet and trying to look at the positive for her sake.  And Jax promised to help out and care for Floyd's daughter.

I think the terrible job Trump has done with everything, but especially the Virus and the Protests makes it clear that Trump needs to be removed.  And puts an end to any pressure for Biden to select a progressive (ie Warren) to balance the ticket and bring far lefties into the fold. 

The anti-Trump feeling is so strong that the Dems are united behind Biden regardless.  This moment really frees up Biden to pick Kamala Harris (or another black woman).
Picking a white midwestern woman would feel like a letdown about now.
Of course, Biden will make the decision maybe two months from now, and things could look different.  But as of now, I'd say 85% chance it's Harris.

UN health agency: Wear mask if you can’t keep your distance

The World Health Organization is broadening its recommendations for the use of masks during the coronavirus pandemic and said Friday it is now advising that in areas where the virus is spreading, people should wear fabric masks when social distancing is not possible, such as on public transportation and in shops.

WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said people over age 60 or with underlying medical conditions also should wear masks in situations where social distancing cannot be maintained. WHO previously had recommended that only health care workers, people with COVID-19 and their caregivers wear medical masks, noting a global shortage of supplies.

WHO finally says that people should wear masks.

Sure gonna save a lot of lives with that timely directive.

And why the hell do they present it as either/or.
Wear masks and social distance as much as possible.

Trump has vacated the center, center right, honest conservatives, and his office. Biden doesn’t need much help there and he’s getting a ton from the Lincoln Project and others on that front.

Harris as a prosecutor also opens some fronts to attack that otherwise would not be available. She’s also not as good off the cuff as Liz nor as good at ripping trump’s economic record.

I’d vote The Biden Harris ticket, but I’d prefer to see Biden Warrren.

Isn't unfair and unbalanced justice exactly what the protesters are protesting about?

It's among the things that they have been protesting about and about which until this line of discussion started you have been insisting was non-existent and the black folks should just toe the line, stay home, and be good little people. And if only they behaved, they would never, ever have these problems and if they did, well, still, everybody else should behave and then things would get better.

Trump understands, you would explain to us, sounding almost like Tony and his reverence for Mario.

But then you suddenly reel back to those violent protesters and how everything is being given to them, as if forgetting all that you'd just thought or as if the issues are separate.

The police are out of hand, Bambi.

But it is not new with this set of protests or this recent spate of killings of the unarmed African-Americans.

It is also not just the police, but also the judges, the prison guards, the prosecuting attorneys, the parole officers, and the lawmakers. It's the school disciplinarians before that.

And it is the underlying society, even if one avoids the school-to-prison pipeline. It's that bigotry exists on both the right and the left, making it that much harder. It's in the job market, the housing market, the education system, and the medical system.

The wonder is not that there are protests and violence and looting. The wonder is that there has not been wholesale slaughter (by them) attempted.

But "fair and balanced" is the catchphrase for the very much unfair and unbalanced news folks at Fox.
