Also worth pointing out that it's the fact that defamation lawsuits can be brought against news organizations which keeps them honest and professional most of the time.   Millions of dollars in legal fees and cash settlements are a powerful motivator to get your facts correct.

Someone ask Red where's he's getting the "millions" of dollar settlement figure.

From my understanding there was no admission of wrong-doing by either WaPo or CNN, and terms of the settlement were confidential.

I suspect its far cheaper to settle a baseless nuisance suit, than pay high-priced libel lawyers thousands of dollars an hour in legal fees.

And I suspect with good reason, once again Red's aim is to mislead and distract by fabricating "facts"

This is 4 years old, but it highlights what I am talking about when I say that we have a police problem, not just a race problem.

This does not mean we do not also have a race problem! It's just a Venn diagram with overlapping circles. Lots of overlap because much of the police problem is racial. Just not close to all of it. And they are both big circles.

Red's a fascist at heart-he doesn't really care about free speech for all. The Covington kid's nuisance suit was aimed at curbing those news organiation's ability to inform the public and report news, and was probably (but I don't know) financed by like-minded fascists.

I suspect Red would like to see the voices and pens and computers of unfettered journalism highly regulated and monitored to favor his party's fair and balanced propaganda. Red's dancing with the devil but he's too dumb to know it. He got his tax break.

The White House won’t support congressional republicans this cycle. Republican campaign funds are strictly there to be embezzled, not to help republicans win elections. With no money and huge negative coattails, the reasons for republican legislators to stick with trump are rapidly vanishing.

Republicans are proving decisively they can’t govern, can’t lead, and can’t win.

It’s a dangerous time. Republicans are now resorting to arson to attack their opponents in Arizona as well as using fascism in Portland that they plan to spread more widely.

Republican behavior is pushing them day by day into becoming the type of miscreants who warrant being attacked on sight just like Kiid’s fellow stormfront subscribers. 

Yet 36% of likely voters are somewhat with the GOP in contrast to the 60% who’d like them all drowned in a bathtub, then dumped on the trash heap of history with South Africa’s apartheid regime.
